Sex And The City fashionista Patricia Field has come out in support of John Galliano, praising the designer’s ‘beauty, intelligence and energy.’ The flame-haired costume designer — who is famed for dreaming up the quirky outfits Sarah Jessica Parker wore on the hit show — has blasted others in the fashion industry who have not rushed to the Brit’s defence. A friend of Galliano, she says his alleged anti-Semitic comments were all part of his ‘theatre’ and are ‘farce.’ In an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, Field says, “People in fashion all they do is go and see John Galliano theatre every season. “That’s what he gives them. “To me, this was the same except it wasn’t in a theatre or in a movie.” Field went on to tell the trade publication, “John lives in theatre. It’s theatre. It’s farce. “But people in fashion don’t recognise the farce in it. “All of a sudden they don’t know him. But it’s OK when it’s Mel Brooks’ The Producers [characters] singing Springtime For Hitler.” Field says the 50-year-old designer who was captured on camera making alleged anti-Semitic insults to diners in a Paris restaurant was “acting out a character.” Hours after Galliano was fired from the House of Dior, the New Yorker says she sent out a statement of support to 500 friends, blogs, and e-mails.

Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed the Sex And The City franchise may not be completely dead in the water. Co-star Chris Noth, who played Carrie’s husband Mr Big in the TV series and films, previously stated bad reviews for the second film had killed SATC once and for all. But appearing at New York City Ballet’s autumn gala, Parker, 45, told Vulture: “I don’t know the future. I would say that you never know what will happen with that particular franchise. It’s less about the reviewers than it is about the audience, and they’ve been pretty true, so we tend to listen to them more than anybody else.” Parker, who also produced the show and movies, said Noth wouldn’t be the one to make a final decision anyway. She added: “If [director, writer and executive producer] Michael Patrick didn’t put those words into those characters’ mouths, I don’t think people would respond for so many years. So we’ll see. Who knows.”

Kim Cattrall likes spending time in London because she faces less intrusion she says. “People leave me alone here,” Cattrall explained. “There’s more regard for privacy, that’s why I keep coming back.” In an interview with the Guardian, the actress recounted the media swirl that followed the release of Sex and the City 2. “I’d been out of town for a while, promoting the movie, so it wasn’t long before someone turned up pointing a camera, then two, then four, until they were swarming like mosquitoes. Then, when I tried to leave the restaurant, someone shoved a microphone in my face and said, ‘Hey Kim, what’s worse? The BP oil spill or Sex And The City 2?’” the 54-year-old said. Cattrall is currently in the UK to star in a production of Antony and Cleopatra.

Sex and the City 2 star Chris Noth said he is up for more movie sequels in the future.

The 55-year-old actor is taking on the role of Mr Big in the latest film adaptation of the popular US show.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Sex and the City 2 premiere in New York, he said: “Everybody already wants Sex and the City three, four, and five…

“You know, if I’m in a wheelchair and they want Mr Big, I’ll be there!”

Sex and the City 2 star Sarah Jessica Parker has said no one wants to see her topless.

The actress, 45, admitted that she is not one to start stripping off and exposing her chest on screen.

She said to E! Online: “You don’t want to see me topless. You really don’t.”

Despite the fact her co-stars don’t have any problems with the topless scenes, Parker said it is something she isn’t planning at all.

She said: “Maybe they’re more equipped to do so. And it’s all been voluntary. There was never any pressure. Never once. It’s too progressive of a community here to have anyone pressured into doing that.”

Sex and the City 2 star Sarah Jessica Parker has said she is planning to have more children.

The actress, 45, and husband Matthew Broderick, 48, have a seven-year-old son James Wilkie as well as twin girls Marion and Tabitha, who were born in June last year via a surrogate.

Parker admitted that some people criticise her for choosing the option of a surrogate to become a mum for the second time.

She said: “I don’t know if we’re finished having children. I know that we’re lucky that we could afford that particular option, but we encouraged each other to explore all options.

“I suppose the only courage it takes is to not listen to people who find it objectionable. And there are those.”

If you cannot wait any longer for the second Sex and the City movie, a new book about Carrie Bradshaw’s pre-fashionista years is set to be released.

Writer Candace Bushnell, who created the hit series’ lead character in a newspaper column that became a book, has now penned the first ‘prequel’ – The Carrie Diaries.

Set to be published next week in the US, the eagerly awaited teen novel looks at the character’s life as a high school senior in a small town in Connecticut.

It has been described as a coming-of-age story that traces Carrie’s evolving fashion sense, her early romantic relationships and dreams of becoming a writer.

“I think it’s always fascinating to go back and see the things that formed a character,” said Bushnell. “And I’ve always wanted to write a book about a young girl who comes to the big city. That’s partly my story.”

The 51-year-old moved to New York at 19 with hopes of becoming a writer.

She told USA Today: “It was a fascinating time, and it was always something I wanted to write about. But there’s actually nothing that happened to me that happens in the book. It’s completely fictional.”

Sex And The City star Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed that time stood still when she met her baby twin girls for the first time.

The actress, 45, who has a seven-year-old son James Wilkie with husband Matthew Broderick, became a mum again last June, when twins Marion Loretta and Tabitha Hodge were born via a surrogate.

Talking about the experience, the Did You Hear About The Morgans? star said to Vogue magazine: “Meeting your children rather than giving birth to them, it’s as if… everything else disappears for a moment, and the world goes silent and – I can’t explain it except to say that nothing else existed.”

She added: “I don’t remember anything, but the blanket on the bed that they were lying on and my husband’s face and their faces and my son’s.

“It’s literally as if sound is sucked from the room. Time stands still. It’s so different, and equally extraordinary.”

Actor John Corbett has confirmed the news that female fans were waiting for – his character is returning for the film, which is due to be released in May.

“These rumours started about seven months ago because somebody took a picture of me in Morocco,” he told US chatshow host Ellen DeGeneres.

“I’ve felt really bad because for the last six months, every time somebody said ‘Are you in this movie?’ I had to lie about it.

“But I just found out I’m going to be in the trailer so I get to break the news on your show that Aidan gets to come back.”

Corbett, 48, starred in the Sex and the City TV series between 2000 and 2003 – playing loveable Aidan Shaw, one of Carrie’s long-term boyfriends.

The furniture designer proposed to Carrie, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, but broke off their engagement when she confessed to having an affair with Mr Big.

It remains to be seen whether Aidan will steal Carrie’s heart back from Big in the movie sequel.

The new movie hits cinemas in just a few months, and reports have been flying around Hollywood over which SATC men make an appearance.

But according to Corbett – who played Carrie’s ex-fiance Aidan Shaw – he won’t be appearing, despite rumours he joined the girls on location.

The actor said: “There have been some rumours around that I’m going to be in Sex And The City 2, but they’re just not true.”

However, John, who played Sarah Jessica Parker’s on-again/off-again hippy beau in the TV series, said he’d love to get back in on the SATC action, adding: “I’d love to return, I love all those people – they’re good friends. I’m jealous, I want to be in those movies!”

Now Kyle MacLachlan who played Charlotte’s ex-husband Trey McDougal, has admitted he also wants to appear in the sequel: “They haven’t really called me yet. I think part of it is a conflict of interest because I’m on Desperate Housewives now, so they’re like: ‘Well, maybe not’.

“I would love to go back just for a cameo. I thought Davis and I were a good couple but I actually really liked the relationship with the woman who played my mom, Frances Sternhagen, as Bunny.

“Some of the sequences with me in the tub and her talking to me while sitting on the toilet – I couldn’t believe they actually wrote it, but it was classic!”

Sarah Jessica Parker has again denied reports that she doesn’t like her Sex And The City co-star Kim Cattrall, saying: “I don’t think anybody wants to believe that I love Kim.”

The 44-year-old mum-of-three denied that friction between her and Cattrall was to blame for filming being stalled on the new SATC movie.

“I adore her,” Parker said in an interview with US magazine Elle. “I wouldn’t have done the movie without her. Didn’t and wouldn’t.”

Cattrall, 53, repaid the compliment, telling the fashion magazine: “She [Parker] shines and she allows you to shine as well.”

Despite winning an army of fans for her portrayal of writer Carrie Bradshaw in the hit show, Parker revealed there are two people in her life who she is concerned won’t like her – namely, her two five-month-old surrogate twin daughters Loretta and Tabitha.

She said: “I have a fear that they’re not going to like me.”

The actress, who is married to actor Matthew Broderick, with whom she has a seven-year-old son James Wilkie, also revealed that she loves motherhood so much that she even likes the smell of dirty nappies.

“I love the smell of diapers,” she says. “I even like when they’re wet and you smell them all warm like a baked good [sic].”

Peaches Geldof has said she wouldn’t want a cameo in the new Sex And The City movie as it would be too “cheesy”.

The 20-year-old party girl said she wouldn’t like to follow in Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus’s footsteps and land a guest spot in the movie sequel.

She said to Britain’s Now magazine: “I wouldn’t want a cameo role in the new Sex and the City film as I think it’s slightly cheesy and the whole point of acting is that you play different characters.

“But good on Miley Cyrus for doing it as she’s got so much power and influence, it’s probably a nice change from what she usually does. My personal favourite SATC character is Samantha, of course!”

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker thinks the new Sex And The City shoot is too “crazy” for her.

The 44-year-old has admitted that filming the new SATC sequel in the busy New York streets is crazy.

Sarah has said that shooting Did You Hear About The Morgans? with Hugh Grant in New Mexico, where there wasn’t as much paparazzi, was much nicer and more relaxed.

The star said: “It drives me crazy.

“It’s just very hard to get a day’s work done and concentrate.”

While filming in New Mexico, Parker has managed to get Brit Hugh, 49, to watch and love SATC TV episodes.

Sarah Jessica Parker is finding it hard to be a good mother and a film star at the same time.

The actress, who is mum to surrogate twins Marion and Tabitha, is currently filming Sex & The City 2 in New York and is feeling the strain of been a mother and an actress.

The 44-year-old’s close friend Rob Klein told British Now magazine: “The love she feels is beyond glowing, it’s almost binding. I think everyone thinks of Sarah as a career woman, but she’s really maternal. That’s her favourite role of all – being a mum. I have to say she’s quite artistic at it. She really has a way with her children.”

Another friend added: “She’s working insane hours on Sex & The City sequel, but still tries to do as much as she can herself. She’ll have husband Matthew Broderick bring the girls over so she can see them. During any break in filming, she’ll call them just so she can hear their baby noises. This leaves her exhausted most of the time.”

Sex & The City 2 is full of lots of drama and “won’t be predictable”.

Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, and husband Mr. Big, played by Chris Noth, who got married in the first SATC film, are said to be facing lots of drama in the sequel.

A casting notice said: “Big loses a lot of money and takes a job in London, living alone in a one-bedroom apartment. Big gets really low and ends up in bed with another woman. After she leaves him, Carrie discovers she is pregnant.”

An SATC source also added the movie “won’t be predictable”.

Kristin Davis, who plays the character Charlotte York Goldenblatt, is now mum to two kids and Davis said: “We’ll have to see what that’s like for her.”

The character Miranda Hobbes, played by Cynthia Nixon, will make a very different career change, and Samantha Jones, played by Kim Cattrall, will face Jason Lewis, who plays her ex Smith Jerrod.

Willie Garson, who plays Carrie’s best friend Stanford Blatch, says the movie is “fun, fun, fun! It’s a celebration, and once again, it truly is for the audience.”
