Tiger Woods dropped by Gatorade sports drink company

Nike may be sticking with shamed golfer Tiger Woods, but he has just been dropped by another sponsor.

A day after the athletic wear company repledged its support for the apologetic golf star, PepsiCo-owned Gatorade announced that it was dropping its endorsement of Woods.

The company had already discontinued its Gatorade Tiger Focus energy drink back in December, a month after his car accident and breaking news of his numerous affairs.

A spokeswoman for Gatorade confirmed: “We no longer see a role for Tiger in our marketing efforts and have ended our relationship.

“However, our partnership with the Tiger Woods Foundation will continue. We wish him all the best.”

The PepsiCo beverage line is the third company, following AT&T and Accenture, to drop Woods completely since his personal life made headlines.

Donald Trump’s $2 billion golf course plans

Donald Trump’s $2 billion golf course plans are facing disruption from an elderly pensioner who has launched a legal bid.

Pensioner Molly Forbes, 85, is reportedly worried that the US real estate star will force her out of her home, which is called Paradise, in his attempt to gain more land.

Forbes claims that Aberdeenshire Council have broken the law by approving his planning permission bid and has since filed a case at the Court of Session.

She said: “Why should this man be allowed to force me out? I want to see out the rest of my days here. I didn’t call it Paradise for nothing. There’s nowhere like it.”

She added: “This is not a battle I would ever have sought – but I’m not going to give up.”

The council has said that it did grant permission for the project, but it had made clear that the developer was expected to negotiate directly with landowners about buying their properties.

Judge Approves Michael Jackson Exploits

A judge recently gave the go signal to the special administrators of Michael Jackson�s estate to market the late singer all over the place. That includes the re-publication of �Moonwalk�, the merchandising and the release of Jermaine Jackson�s rendition of �Smile� at the King of Pop�s memorial. The administrators wanted to strike the deal quickly because of �a heightened demand for such products due to Jermaine Jackson’s moving performance during the memorial service, which may diminish over time.� The deal also includes various memorabilia like a 2010 calendar, commemorative coins, school supplies, cardboard cut outs, posters and buttons.

Fox, FremantleMedia and 19 Entertainment have officially confirmed the departure of Paula Abdul from American Idol. They released a statement saying �Paula Abdul has been an important part of the American Idol family over the last eight seasons, and we are saddened that she has decided not to return to the show. While Paula will not be continuing with us, she’s a tremendous talent and we wish her the best.� Sources say that Paula was asking for $20 million to continue with the show. She apparently even rejected a 30% raise. It was probably still lower than what Ryan Seacrest got offered.

Sienna Miller ‘looking for 2m home in New York’

GI Joe star Sienna Miller is reportedly planning to permanently relocate to New York.

Miller, 27, has reportedly told estate agents to look for a luxurious home in Manhattan up to �2m. It is claimed she is looking for a three-bedroom apartment in the Gramercy area.

However, sources close to the star claim she will not be able to make the move until she sells her home in Paddington, UK, which has been on the market for seven months.

A source said: “Sienna is about to start a run in Broadway, which has given her the push she needed to move to New York permanently. She has many close friends there and spends a lot of time in the US, so it seemed like a natural progression.

“She will be keeping her cottage in the Cotswolds so will have a base in England whenever she wants to come back. But her house in Paddington is proving to be a slow mover – she recently slashed �300,000 off the asking price but it’s attracting no buyers at �995,000.”

Michael Jackson didn�t �know the value of money�, his personal financial adviser has revealed.

Financier Dr Tohme Tohme broke his silence about his role in the Jackson camp, telling US TV that Jacko had no interest in his own business affairs.

And he said he believes that Jackson’s assets are greater than the star’s well-publicised debts.

“In the early days, when I met with Michael, I was taking care of everything, I was taking care of his personal affairs, his business, his day-to-day life,” Lebanon-born Tohme told NBC’s Today Show.

He added, “You know he owes money, we all owe money, but I think his assets overweigh the debts.�

Tohme also admitted he had sacked some of Jackson’s staff to trim costs.

“I had a green light from him. I saw that there was a lot of money being wasted and a lot of people taking advantage of the situation.

“Really Michael never cared about money or cared about assets. He just doesn’t know the value of money.”

Tohme also revealed that he had tried to tell Jackson that his debts were getting out of hand. “I told him on different occasions and he said, ‘It is your department, not mine,�� he said.

“I love Michael Jackson and I am going to miss him. The hours, days, and months I spent with Michael Jackson I will take to my grave.”

Documents have been obtained stating that, as of 2007, the late King of Pop Michael Jackson had a net worth of $236.6 million, with less than $700,000 of that amount in cash. The financial report was assembled around the time that the singer had to refinance due to his large sums of debt and was �based in large part on estimates provided by Jackson’s advisers that the accounting firm said it could not verify.� The documents don�t include any report of the incoming funds of that year or how much he was spending though. That should give all of us a glimpse of the mess that the family has to deal with when it comes to Michael�s estate.

Even Donald Trump is hit by the recession

Even property tycoon Donald Trump is being hit by the recession.

The billionaire has been forced to slash the fee he charges to address wannabe entrepreneurs across America – to “less than $1 million”.

Trump was previously guaranteed the seven-figure sum for lecturing at the Learning Annex’s “Wealth Expos”.

But the economic slowdown means he is not able to demand as much, according to the New York Post.

An insider revealed: “He’ll be making less than $1 million. Even Donald has cut back.”

The wealth-building seminars were such a hit in the past that he toured 15 cities across the US, doling out financial advice.

Now the latest event, a “Money Fest” slated to be held on April 25, has been scaled down and will be held at a New York hotel rather than the exhibition centre that has been used before.

However, Trump, 62, is not allowing himself to get depressed: “Recession creates incredible opportunities, and there are incredible opportunities right now.”

Parade reported on how the 27-year old singer and actress made bank as she earned $80 million last year in large part because of the success of her latest album �I Am� Sasha Fierce�. Her hubby did slightly better than her as the rap mogul took in $82 million. In other Beyonce news, the singer is currently in talks with the latest X Factor winner Alexandra Burke for a possible duet. They performed Beyonce�s song �Listen� together during the finale of the reality competition.

Madonna is one of the biggest selling artists of all time and ‘Sticky & Sweet’ Summer Tour last year was a resounding success. She is also amongst the top 5 current selling artists, a list headed by Tina Turner.

She has now defied the global recession effects by buying a new home in New York at a staggering $40 million in New York’s posh Upper East Side. And she also proved to be a smart buyer by closing the deal for $5 million fewer than the market price for that property.

The mansion has a total 13 bedrooms to go with 14 bathrooms, a 3,000-square-foot garden, a two-car garage, 9 fireplaces, a wine cellar with a grotto and an elevator.

I think someone should go and check the financial accounts of this woman, she reportedly paid her ex-husband Guy Ritchie some 50-70 million dollar as part of their divorce settlement and Guy did not even ask for the money. Seems Madonna told herself if I cannot buy a baby I�d buy a new house instead.

Fast & Furious takes in 72.5 million in opening weekend

In what is being said to be the best opening weekend for a movie in all of 2009 car racing movie �Fast & Furious� has raked in a cool 72.5 million USD in it�s opening weekend. Another record set by the movie is for the best ever April debut previously set by �Anger Management� which recorded $42.2 million in 2003.

The 1st week of April is usually not the time for big releases as summer time releases in April starts with Memorial Day through Labor Day which falls on May 1. But Hollywood movie bosses are trying to extend the period hoping that they can beat some of the recession effects if not all of it.

This is the fourth installment of the street racing franchise and this time the cast is that of those who featured in the original released in 2001. Everyone from Paul Walker and Vin Diesel to Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez.

If a movie on street car racing and banging cars all over the streets of Detroit helps simulate the economy then I�m all for such movies but on the other hand it also promotes gas guzzling cars fitted with added boosters to achieve enormous speed. People would want such cars also to replicate stuff on streets.

But I didn?t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation.? Burn! Even her mom Tina spoke out about their family. She says that one day, dad/manager Matthew took Beyonce, sister Solange and some friends to a bad part of Houston. Tina said ?He had my kids talking to the homeless people there. New Year treat for a Miley Cyrus fan

Teen star Miley Cyrus is going to spend this New Year’s Eve with one of her fans? but who that fan will be is still undecided and the singer will announce that fan on live TV as part of an ongoing contest. The 16-year-old singer will ring in 2009 as host of an upcoming special on December 31 from the home of the lucky winner – someone who spent 2008 helping to improve the lives of others. “FNMTV Presents: A Miley-Sized Surprise” and the contest will be live from New York’s Times Square and then Miley will visit the house of the contest winner. Miley and her fan will spend the day together, they will visit friends and take part in activities promoting the cause of the fan’s favorite charity and at the end of it all the Hannah Montana star performs from the fan’s bedroom. Really what a way to welcome in the New Year for that lucky fan. He will get to spend the whole day with the beautiful star and then have her sing in his/her bedroom. That?s really a lot of fun and a day to remember for the rest of your life.

Donald Trump gets sued!

If a man as rich as Donald Trump can’t pay his bills on time then there must really be something wrong with the economy! Deutsche Bank Trust Co. has sued The Donald Trump for not paying his $640 million loan on time. Bank executives, who filed the suit in the Supreme Court of New York State last Friday, claimed that Trump violated the terms of his contract with the company involving the Trump International Hotel + Tower and that he owes them $40 million.

The legal battle came in the middle of the construction of the Hotel and Tower building. Steven Schlesinger, Trump’s lawyer, said he has not even seen the case documents yet.

However, suing and getting sued is perhaps part and parcel of Trump’s life considering that he also gets to sue just about anyone including those who make use of his name without permission. Trump recently filed a $5 million lawsuit against the Morrison Cohen Law firm for allegedly naming him in their website as one of their clients.

Trump said the law firm used his name in their advertisements and his name was all over the site making it appear that he was in love with them. On the contrary, he said, he does not even like them. It would have been different if his name was used by somebody he was happy with. Lawyer David Scharf of Morrison Cohen however claimed it is Trump’s way of getting away without paying them for a multimillion lawsuit they had won for him.

The Firm said Trump owes them $600,000 for that case and no sir, they are not budging!

The money is tempting but Beyonce won’t budge on wedding photos

A lot of money is being offered just to convince her to have her wedding photos published but Beyonce is not biting!? Beyonce’s April wedding to Jay-Z in New York was so hush-hush that is has stirred the interest of the ever-curious press who wants to outdo each other in publishing news and photo that can make a killing in the news stands.? Beyonce however admitted that the amount of money offered was crazy and it can be tempting but confirmed she has no plans to sell her wedding photos.

Beyonce said the money they want to pay her for the wedding photos is plain ridiculous but “absolutely not!” she said.? Beyonce said the money is not worth it and if she really wants to let the world see their wedding photos then she will do so because she wants to and not because of the money.

She acknowledges the fact that she and Jay-Z are both private individuals despite their popularity and they want to keep it that way.? This is the reason why we complement each other, she added, and they are doing it for the right reasons.
