Oksana Grigorieva has not attempted to extort Mel Gibson, her rep says.

Stephen Jaffe told TMZ: “To specifically address the allegations, my client, Ms Grigorieva, has repeatedly stated that there is no credible evidence whatsoever of extortion by her, and she stands steadfastly by that statement.”

It was reported that the LA. County Sheriff’s Department has launched an investigation into the extortion claim after Gibson’s lawyer Blair Berk presented her evidence to investigators in court.

TMZ reports sheriffs are investigating Berk’s allegation that Grigorieva lied to authorities when she filed her complaint against the Edge of Darkness star.

The extortion denial comes on the same day Radar Online published a controversial new photo of Gibson’s and Grigorieva’s daughter Lucia that allegedly shows an abrasion on the child’s chin.

Radar reported that the alleged graze was caused after a fight between her parents on January 6 – when Lucia was two months old.

In audio recordings previously posted on Radar, Grigorieva is heard telling Gibson: “You’re acting as a crazy man right now and you have been for many, many months … you hit me and you hit her while she was in my hands …”

A woman who claims she had an “intimate relationship” with disgraced Mel Gibson has alleged the Hollywood star was “abusive” towards her.

Polish fitness instructor and porn star Violet Kowal told Fox News Channel’s Geraldo Rivera that Gibson would call her late at night “screaming” that he would make her “suffer”.

Kowal told Rivera that she first met the Mad Max star in May 2007, but reconnected with him in July 2009 following his divorce from wife Robyn Gibson.

“When I first met him… he announced, ‘Oh you probably hear I am divorced’,” Kowal told Rivera last night.

“And, after that, he never ever spoke about Oksana [Grigorieva], so I thought they are not together.

“So, when he was calling me and when we were seeing each other, I thought we were just friends and we had an intimate relationship.”

Kowal then detailed the alleged abuse she claims Gibson subjected her to.

She said: “He [Gibson] was very abusive. He called me up screaming at me and said he would make me suffer.

“I was so scared of him. It was a huge emotional experience for me. I was close to going to the police.”

Kowal says she was unaware of Gibson’s relationship with Russian musician Oksana Grigorieva, with whom he had a baby girl last October.

“He never talked about Oksana or the baby. It was like they weren’t in his life,” she added.

Mel Gibson proved he is a good sport as he enjoyed a night of ping-pong in New York.

The Hollywood star joined his pal, Hollow Man star Josh Brolin, in the city’s hottest new craze – table tennis

The pair played at Manhattan’s SPiN club, in which actress Susan Sarandon is an investor, on Saturday night.

Gibson and Brolin reportedly stayed at the club for more than an hour and played a friendly game against each other.

An eyewitness said: “They looked like they were having a great time and both of them were pretty good players.”

Speaking 14 years after the movie’s release, director Gibson said: “Wallace was a monster. He always smelt of smoke; he was always burning people’s villages down. He was like what the Vikings called ‘a berserker’.”

Gibson, who famously donned tartan for Braveheart, continued: “He wasn’t as nice as the character we saw up there on the screen. We romanticised him a bit. We shifted the balance because someone’s got to be the good guy against the bad guy; that’s the way stories are told.”

The admission sent some Scottish historians into a wee lather, as they claim Wallace was neither the all-time bad guy nor the Hollywood good guy.

While the movie presented him as a poor villager, he was actually a landowner and minor knight who made important diplomatic missions.

Fiona Watson, a Wallace biographer and academic said: “Mel Gibson’s [now] giving us the other version of the myth, the knuckles dragging across the floor one, which is equally untrue. The real man surely lies in between. After all, Wallace went to the Continent on diplomatic missions after the debacle at Falkirk [the 1298 battle], which Wallace lost. I don’t know of many berserkers who did that.”

Mel Gibson’s very public divorce has just become even more complicated, according to reports.

It was believed his wife Robyn would be getting around half of his fortune – estimated at $900m.

But new reports claim that not only is the figure inflated, but a huge portion of it is tied up in real estate.

According to TMZ.com, there is a relatively small amount of cash involved in his fortune.

On top of that, much of the real estate is reportedly being held in trust for the couple’s children.

Robyn filed for divorce in April citing irreconcilable differences.

Gibson has since been seen with Russian singer Olga Grigorieva.
