Jennifer Aniston has bought a luxury New York penthouse in her dog’s name, according to reports. The Just Go With It star reportedly inked a deal to purchase three separate units in a building in Manhattan’s trendy West Village neighbourhood last month. Now it has emerged that the 42-year-old actress bought the property for a reported $4.95m using the name of her beloved corgi-terrier mix, Norman. Property records reveal the apartments were formally purchased by Norman’s Nest Trust. Aniston’s business manager, Bruce Lagnese, is also a signee on the mortgage documents. The 1200sq ft penthouse, which previously belonged to celebrity hairdresser Sally Hershberger, is on the 18th floor of the building and boasts views of the Empire State Building. It also has an 800sq ft terrace that overlooks New York Harbour, but has just one bedroom and one bathroom. As well as the penthouse, the former Friends star snapped up two other small units on the 17th floor of the building. It is thought that she will combine all three units to make one sprawling duplex apartment. A representative for Aniston was unavailable for comment.

Julia Roberts has spent $3.895 million buying a second Manhattan home – even though she spends little time in the city. The Eat Pray Love star has bought the penthouse co-op in a large building on tree-lined West 10th Street in the heart of picturesque Greenwich Village. But so far she is still keeping her apartment in Gramercy Park – just a dozen blocks, not even a five-minute cab ride, away. It is not clear how she will divide her time between the apartments – especially as she spends much of her time in California and New Mexico. Roberts’ new building in Greenwich Village has a rooftop terrace and is the only co-op on a coveted block between Fifth and Sixth avenues that mainly consists of single-family homes. It was built in 1958 on the site of the Tenth Street Studio Building, the nation’s first architectural school, where many famous painters had studios. Roberts’ spokeswoman declined to comment.

Oprah Winfrey could shut one of New York’s busiest roads to throw a huge street party.

The chat show host reportedly wants to close Manhattan’s West Side Highway for a party to celebrate the 10th anniversary of her Oprah Magazine next May.

Officials at New York City Hall have told the New York Post that Oprah has already begun making permit enquiries for the party.

“While it is too soon to discuss specifics, we are looking forward to celebrating in a big way,” an Oprah representative said.

However, Diddy?s reps are saying that his car is just fine and that the damaged Maybach belonged to someone else. Cops also say that Lorenzo was so drunk that when cops showed up, he was butt up, passed out, face down on the ground.

Boy George will perform a free concert in New York. The former Culture Club singer wants to show his appreciation to the Department of Sanitation for their kindness when he was ordered to complete community service with workers two years ago.

The singer, real name George O’Dowd, was ordered to work for the department after he pleaded guilty to falsely reporting a burglary at his apartment in Manhattan.

Now George will thank his co-workers with a concert at the department’s Family Day on August 17. He said: “The people I worked alongside showed great kindness to me at a very difficult time, and I wanted to thank them all in a way that would show my appreciation.”

Michael A. Bimonte, a first deputy commissioner in the department, added: “Keeping New York City safe and clean is a daunting challenge – as Boy George well knows – and we welcome his generous offer to entertain those who have made our city the cleanest it has been in more than 30 years.”

George will also launch his North American tour, starting in Aspen, on July 10.

Celebrated tenor Jerry Hadley remained hospitalized Thursday for a gunshot wound police said was self-inflicted.

Hadley created the title role in composer John Harbison’s “The Great Gatsby” at the Metropolitan Opera, as well as the lead in Paul McCartney’s “Liverpool Oratorio.” Leonard Bernstein chose him to sing the main part in a 1989 production of Bernstein’s musical “Candide.”

A hospital employee declined to provide an update on his condition Thursday, citing confidentiality laws. Hadley was on life support Wednesday.
On Tuesday just after 7 a.m., the 55-year-old singer shot himself with an air rifle at his Clinton Corners home, several miles outside Poughkeepsie, said Robert Rochler, a senior investigator with the New York State Police.

State troopers found Hadley on the floor of his bedroom, unconscious from a self-inflicted head wound, Rochler said in a statement.
An ambulance took Hadley to St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, where doctors determined that he had a severe brain injury.
Medical staff will evaluate his condition Thursday to determine whether he is to remain on life support, according to the statement.

The statement also said that Hadley was filing for bankruptcy and being treated by a doctor for depression.
Hadley was arrested last year in Manhattan ? while at the wheel of his parked car ? on a charge of driving while intoxicated. Prosecutors later dropped the case.
A native of Manlius, Ill., Hadley started his career in regional companies, singing everything from Mozart to Broadway. His agile romantic tenor was noticed in the late 1970s by the late Beverly Sills, then general director of the New York City Opera, which hired him.
