Woody Allen has revealed that he was surprised to learn that Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen became an item after co-starring in his new movie Midnight In Paris. The couple, who have been romantically linked since last August, have finally confirmed that they are dating. The news comes after they went public with their relationship recently at Cannes Film Festival, as they promoted Allen’s new flick. But the legendary film director says he was completely unaware of any chemistry between the pair during filming – unlike the sparks that flew between Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz on the set of Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Allen told People.com: "I didn’t see it coming. I could notice it a little with Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem. They were kind of chummy. But I didn’t see it coming here… and they did not ask my permission."

Salman Rushdie’s ex-wife has long been linked to the venture capitalist but kept quiet about him, despite him helping her through her pregnancy.

But during an emotional speech at The Endometriosis Foundation of America’s Blossom Ball, she finally made a public declaration, calling Teddy “the person that I love”.

“I am lucky to have someone who unwaveringly gave me love and manly support – and is also the person that I love,” Top Chef host Padma said at the event at the New York Public Library.

“So, thank you, Teddy.”

Lakshmi, who suffers from endometriosis, which can cause fertility problems, gave birth to daughter Krishna three months ago.

Bar Refaeli, 24, recently reunited with Leonardo DiCaprio, believes a break-up only worked to make their love bolder.

The fiery Refaeli, who has stirred up controversy in her homeland of Israel for alleged draft dodging, told L’Isha magazine: “It was a half year for which I am very grateful. I needed it. I came to understand a lot of things about myself.”

The supermodel and star of Revolutionary Road and Titanic broke up for six months. Refaeli continued: “I worked on myself and I grew up. I didn’t know what ‘alone’ was like. Today I know that a relationship can work only if you know you can be alone and you are not afraid. Today I’m not afraid of being alone.”

The couple tries to keep their relationship out of public view and believes they have nothing to prove. “I am there for him and I am at all the events. I just don’t walk in hand-in-hand with him. I don’t see any reason. I don’t need to strike poses with him in front of the cameras. No one needs to know how we kiss.”

Refaeli put paid to any talk of wedding bells, however, Bang Showbiz reports. She said: “I’m not thinking about getting married. I’m still young, not yet 25.”

Roberts has wasted no time in securing herself while she makes a movie titled Eat, Pray, Love near Delhi.

Locals report that bouncers are keeping them out of their temple at a Hindu retreat that is a setting for the movie adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert’s bestselling novel of the same name.

One said: “It’s the holiest time of the year and we must not be stopped from visiting our own temple.”

Roberts, 41, is accompanied by her three small children and has been given a bulletproof vehicle for her stay in Pataudi, which is an hour out of Delhi.

The movie tells the story of a successful New York writer whose divorce triggers a journey of self discovery in a number of seductive locations around the globe.

Hot Aussie golfer Adam Scott, 29, is linked with two very desirable celebrity women.

Hollywood actress Kate Hudson, 30 and Serbian tennis player Ana Ivanovic, 21. Of the first, Scott said: “We’re friends. There was nothing in it.”

Scott has been rumoured to be dating the gorgeous Hudson.

He was seen out holding hands with Ivanovic in New York’s Soho district, however. On this relationship he has kept his lips sealed. The photos that surfaced of the tennis ace and the golfer are being taken seriously in Australian gossip circles.

Ivanovic was said to have shot the photographer a dark look, suggesting that she was the one that wanted the status on the couple to officially remain just friends, it was reported.

The pair met while making an ad for Rolex last September at the Australian Open tennis tournament.

Actress Jennifer Aniston still believes in love.

Despite Jen not having the best track record with men, the Marley & Me star still believes in love and romance.

The 40-year-old told Harper’s Bazaar Australia: “I’m still a romantic.

“I still believe in love.”

Aniston added: “I think it’s important to have closure in any relationship that ends — from a romantic relationship to a friendship.

“You should always have a sense of clarity at the end and know why it began and why it ended. You need that in your life to move cleanly into your next phase.”

When Brad Pitt’s ex was asked if women give too much in a relationship, Jennifer said:

“Oh yeah. I think that’s because it’s just instinctual as a woman to be the caretaker of your home.

“Women complain that men don’t do enough, but it’s your own fault. You train your man to do nothing. You can’t blame someone for not knowing what his or her job should be if you don’t ask for it right off the bat.”

The star thinks that relationships break down because of laziness.

She said: “I think a good relationship is about collaboration.

“That’s the way to go in a relationship. I think you just need to talk to each other.”

The actress added: “Say what you need. Say what you want. That way it’s not threatening. You just need to say, ‘This is important to me.’ Don’t expect your mate to read your mind.”
