US comic Jerry Seinfeld is set to perform a one-off show in London next year. The 56-year-old stand-up comedian will take to the stage at the O2 Arena in London on June 3 next year and it will be the first time he has performed live in the United Kingdom since 1998. Tickets for the show start at £84.25 and go on sale on December 17 but are expected to sell out quickly. His show, Seinfeld, is still the most successful sitcom in America’s history. He co-wrote the programme with Larry David, star of popular HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Funny man Jerry Seinfeld, hip-hop superstar Jay-Z, and golfing legend Tiger Woods could have ten digit fortunes in the future, Forbes magazine has forecast. Jerry Seinfeld’s show about nothing has helped the comedian take home $800 million, the report says. Jay-Z’s estimated net-worth is at $450 million, courtesy of sell-out shows, his Roc Nation label, Rocawear clothing royalties, and a stake in the New Jersey Jets. Along with his chart topping wife Beyonce Knowles, there is speculation they may be music’s first billion-dollar couple. Tiger Woods has an estimated fortune worth $500 million, having scored $130 million in career prize money, along with hundreds of millions of dollars worth of revenue from endorsements, appearance fees, and golf course design business since 1996. Other famous faces in the magazine’s Billionaires in the Making list include Michael Jordan, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Tyler Perry.

Seinfeld star Jason Alexander struts his stuff – and strips off his clothes – to celebrate shedding 30lbs in a hilarious new ad for the Jenny Craig diet.

In the ad, the 50-year-old actor and comedian performs a dance routine with a troupe of sexy male dancers.

After whipping off his shirt to reveal a tight black vest, Alexander tears off his trousers and strips down to figure-hugging black boxer shorts.

At the end of his cheeky performance, he helps diet guru Craig lift her jaw from the floor.

Alexander, who starred as portly George Costanza in the hit TV comedy, signed up to be a spokesman for the Jenny Craig programme in January after watching himself on television.

He said: “I just got to a point where when I would look at the Seinfeld reunion stuff or one of these other projects that I had done, I said, ‘I don’t like the way that guy looks. That guy is not attractive in any way, shape or form to me.’”

He added: “It made me go, ‘Oh yuck’. Over the course of the nine years of Seinfeld, I can actually see my hairline go away and my waistline increase.

“One of them I can do nothing about, the other I can.”

Alexander, who was once a spokesman for fast-food chain KFC, has so far lost 30lbs in just 18 weeks.

Jerry Seinfeld’s hit show The Marriage Ref has been renewed for a second season by NBC.

The network has confirmed that the marriage advice show will be brought back for a second season.

The programme sees a celebrity panel, with past line-ups including Madonna, Ricky Gervais and Larry David, help couples deal with their problems.

Paul Telegdy, the executive in charge of reality programming for NBC, has announced that the network has ordered three more episodes for this season and at least 10 for the next series.

The show has not only increased ratings but also filled the gap that Jay Leno’s show left during the weekday slot at 10pm.

Telegdy said: “The show has done a great job for us.”

The 55-year-old funnyman is behind the new real-life show which will see its host, Tom Papa, stand as a referee between couples having marriage issues.

The show will also feature a panel of celebrity guests that help with the issues and upcoming stars include Alec Baldwin, Kelly Ripa, Madonna, Larry David, Eva Longoria and Tina Fey.

Jason Alexander of the cast of Seinfeld is transforming himself into a stand-up comedian. But the act can only take place in Australia, he said.

Jason Alexander’s Comedy Spectacular will travel to Australia this month and next for dates in major cities. It will draw in local comedians and showcase Alexander in stand-up.

“Australia is unique to me in that I really don’t do stand-up anywhere else in the world. I was never a stand-up here in the States – I have hosted things and MC-ed things, but that’s different from being a stand-up comic, which is a very unique and specific craft.”

Alexander may feel free of his Seinfeld character once he is Down Under, or just find it much easier to throw caution to the wind before strangers. He said: “For better or worse, I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, I don’t know if you’re the winners or the losers, but you get me doing stand-up.”

Alexander has brought his stand-up to Australia twice before and claims to have made some good friends along the way. He is a devotee of Australian Rules. “Footy is fantastic,” he said. “I went to a live game when I was there, and these are some of the best athletes in the world these guys. It’s the most dangerous, exciting game in the world.”

Comic Jerry Seinfeld’s wife is in the clear over allegations she stole an idea for her cookbook.

Missy Chase Lapine sued the star’s wife Jessica Seinfeld over her book Deceptively Delicious – aimed at getting children to eat healthily.

But Manhattan Federal judge Laura Taylor Swain booted out the lawsuit, ruling that tricking youngsters into eating healthy food was not an exclusive idea.

Lapin claimed that Seinfeld had stolen recipes from her book The Sneaky Chef such as putting spinach in chocolate chip cookies.

After Lapine launched her legal action, Jerry Seinfeld appeared on David Letterman’s Late Show and branded Lapin a “wacko”.

“If you read history, many of the three-named people do become assassins,” Seinfeld joked.

The judge refused to rule on a defamation claim by Lapine saying it was a state not federal matter.

“It’s a complete vindication of what we’ve been saying from Day One, that this lawsuit was an optimistic attempt to generate publicity,” said Jessica Seinfeld’s lawyer Orin Snyder.

Lapine’s lawyer, Howard Miller, says she may appeal the copyright ruling, and would definitely pursue her defamation claim.

Jerry Seinfeld has shot a new TV commercial that will only be shown in Australia.

The star filmed the ad for Australia’s Greater Building Society, one of the biggest building societies Down Under.

Jerry has only ever shot two other commercials – one for Microsoft, for which he was reportedly paid 10million US dollars, and another for American Express.

His fee for the new ad has not been made public, but a company spokesman said it was “nowhere near” what Microsoft supposedly paid.

Greater Building Society’s CEO, Don Magin, says they signed the star for the one-minute ad simply because: “We were bold enough to ask.”

Company spokesman Craig Eardley added: “Jerry is smart, professional, down to earth, cheeky and likes to have some fun. He was the perfect choice.”

The star co-wrote the scripts and shot enough footage to make 20 ads in total. The first one will be screened in Australia on July 12.

Or can he?

It was announced today that comedian Jerry Seinfeld was offered $10 Million to be part of its new $300 million ad campaign.

This new advertising campaign will spearhead and will attempt to take on the famous Mac vs. PC advertisements. As we all know Windows, the company?s most important brand, has suffered a lot because of the Mac vs. PC ad campaign. Rumored slogans include, ?Windows, not walls?. According to news reports, Jerry will appear alongside the new retiree Bill Gates.

But can Jerry and the rest of Microsoft really undo the damage the Mac vs. PC campaign? Time can only tell.

And here?s a bit of pretty interesting trivia for you: Jerry always showed off his Mac in his apartment throughout the run of Seinfeld!

She goes on, “He was al ittle shocked when he walked in and it started to dawn on him what happened. I was extremely relieved and grateful and I’m feeling very lucky that nothing happened. It could have been a lot worse, obviously, and thank God it wasn’t. He’s fine.”
