The daughter of Rolling Stones rock star Keith Richards has appeared in court in New York City following an arrest for leaving graffiti on a convent. Theodora Richards was arrested at 10.45pm on Tuesday night in the fashionable SoHo neighbourhood in which she lives. She was detained after allegedly being spotted painting the phrase ‘T (heart) A’ on the side of the building. Fashion model Richards, 25, is also accused of having a small amount of marijuana and hydrocodone pills and a paint marker on her. Richards, who wore a pink woolly hat, a black coat and tight black jeans did not speak and did not enter a plea during the four minute hearing at Manhattan Criminal Court. The court was told by prosecutors how Richards told officers, ‘I hope I don’t get into trouble’ and ‘I don’t have a prescription for them,’ when she was arrested. She will appear again in court on April 21 and is charged with making graffiti, possession of a graffiti instrument, criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana. Richards did not speak as she left the courthouse and was driven away.

Charlie Sheen cannot be fired from his TV show Two and a Half Men for his wild antics because he doesn’t have a ‘morals clause’ in his contract, according to US reports. The Hollywood bad boy repeatedly hits the headlines for his booze-fuelled benders with porn stars and hookers but it would seem he doesn’t have to worry about his pay cheque. According to gossip site TMZ.com, the hit show’s producers Warner Bros. cannot fire him over improper conduct that reflects badly on the show because he doesn’t have a morals clause in his contract. Sources have told the site the actor claims drugs and prostitutes cannot hurt his star salary. “That’s my personal life. My contract protects me. They can’t fire me,” he has reportedly said. The show has been on a forced hiatus since the star’s latest bender but he reportedly said he wants to go back to work next week. However, sources tell the site the show cannot come back into production so quickly.

Larry King’s wife is recovering after an apparent drug overdose, his spokesman said.

Shawn King, 50, the veteran chatshow host’s seventh wife, left notes she had taken a handful of prescription pills – and expressed her desire to be buried near her Utah home, police said.

Medics were called to the Provo property on May 28 after her father Karl Engemann raised the alarm.

He found her in bed – still breathing – but could not wake her up, according to a transcript of the emergency 911 call released on Wednesday.

Several empty prescription bottles, including those for sleeping aid Ambien and anti-anxiety medications, were surrounding her.

The couple wed in 1997 and have two sons but filed for divorce in April after Larry allegedly had an affair with Shawn’s sister Shannon. They later called off the divorce plans.

“Our marriage is still together, and I am staying very close to our children, whom we love immensely,” Larry King has said. “We shall go through this difficult time intact as a family.”

A representative for King, 76, was unavailable for comment.

The Hollywood star’s son Cameron faces a minimum of 10 years in prison when he is sentenced in New York. But his famed dad tells Judge Richard Berman that his son’s imprisonment has been good for Cameron.

“For the past eight months, I have cherished my two hr. a week in person conversation with Cameron at the MCC [Metropolitan Correctional Center]. He’s sober!” Douglas wrote in a five-page letter. “I get to witness the wonderful young man he can be. He maintains his spirit, blames no one but himself, and recognizes his criminal activity began with his heroin use.”

Douglas has pleaded guilty to selling large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine at Manhattan’s Hotel Gansevoort in 2009.

“Dear Judge Berman, I don’t want to burden you with a litany of my son, Cameron’s rehab history, beginning at 13,” Douglas wrote in the letter made public on Monday.

“He’s an adult and responsible for his own life. We do know, however, that genes, family, and peer pressure are all a strong influence on a substance abuser.”

Douglas adds that his son ‘grew up a single child in a bad marriage’. And the star insisted that many of Cameron’s problems came from growing up in one of Hollywood’s royal families.

“I have some idea of the pressure of finding your own identity with a famous father. I’m not sure I can comprehend it with two generations to deal with.”

Douglas’ letter was the latest in a string to the judge from the likes of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Kirk Douglas.

Police sources say eight undigested OxyContin painkiller pills were found in his stomach and one in his mouth, it has been reported.

The evidence suggests the celebrity disc jockey – real name Adam Goldstein – swallowed the tablets quickly, heightening speculation he took his own life.

A law enforcement source said: “He wanted to die. He was going unconscious when he took the last one. He didn’t even swallow it.”

It has also been claimed that police found a Valentine’s Day card from girlfriend Hayley Wood close to his body in his New York apartment, dated February 14.

The message inside read: “Thank God, you’re in my life. I love you.”

It had been claimed that the 36-year-old was devastated after she broke up with him.

The self-confessed former crack addict was found dead in his $2 million SoHo home on Friday night. His body was reportedly surrounded by drugs paraphernalia, including a crack pipe and prescription pill bottles. A half-empty bag of crack cocaine was also found, sources say.

And a mirror was propped up against the door of the bedroom in which authorities found him. When police pushed open the door, the mirror shattered.

Meanwhile, Goldstein’s lover Wood insists they were still together at the time of his death.

The model said: “Any indication that this horribly tragic accident happened because of a rumoured break-up is not only untrue but disgusting.

“We were very much together at the time of his passing, and I love him very much.”

He and pal, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, survived a fatal plane crash last year.

Baldwin told police that he offered to let the man move from a tent in the woods to a cottage on his property in Upper Grandview, New York.

Police suspected the man was dealing drugs and raided the cottage. He was arrested on possession charges.

Baldwin was home on Wednesday during the raid in the Rockland County community of Upper Grandview.

Police said the actor – who has described himself as a born-again Christian – was just trying to do a good deed.

They said he was shocked, cooperative and apologetic. Publicist Brad Taylor said Baldwin had no comment.

Michael Jackson’s personal physician, Conrad Murray, was not licenced to prescribe drugs in the state of California, federal investigators have revealed.

Murray is licenced to practice medicine in the three southwestern states of Texas, Nevada and California.

But the prescribing of drugs requires separate registration.

“Murray has Drug Enforcement Agency [DEA] registration numbers in Nevada and Texas, but he does not in California,” a federal law enforcement official said.

“You absolutely have to have a registration number to prescribe controlled substances and there was nothing in California.”

The drug most in question in Jackson’s sudden death is Diprivan, which was allegedly found in his home and is a powerful sedative which is used in anaesthesia and induced coma.

Murray, who has been cooperating with authorities in their investigations, is not premitted to administer, dispense or prescribe drugs classified as Schedule II, III, IV and V controlled substances.

However, Murray’s attorneys say he did not give Demerol or OxyContin to Jackson.

Attorney Ed Chernoff in a statement said: “Dr. Murray didn’t prescribe or administer anything that should have killed Michael Jackson.”

DEA officials are currently examining the CURES state database for drugs for clues about Jackson’s drug use and prescribers.

The lawyer for Michael Jackson’s doctor has refused to deny he gave him a powerful drug known to affect the heart, according to reports.

Dr Conrad Murray, who was at the singer’s home the day he died, was interviewed by police following the death – and his information is said to have led to a search warrant for the mansion.

Officers then found the anaesthesic drug Propofol at the residence.

One of its major side effects is cardiac arrest if taken with narcotic painkillers.

Jackson is said to have been taking a variety of medications at the time – and to have begged a nurse for a powerful drug to help him sleep.

Now Edward Chernoff, lawyer for Dr Murray, has said his client did not administer Demerol or OxyContin to Jackson. But he took a markedly different stand on Propofol.

“I have no statement on whether the Dr. prescribed or administered Propofol,” he reportedly said.

Chernoff added: “We’re confident whatever the doctor prescribed did not kill Michael Jackson.”

Authorities are said to be trying to determine how the Propofol ended up in Jackson’s house.

The drug is used for surgeries and cannot be prescribed for home use.
