The Tudors star Jonathan Rhys Meyers is reportedly being sued by an airline worker who claims he assaulted, battered and verbally abused her, after he was barred from boarding an early morning flight. Rhys Meyers was allegedly drunk after downing vodkas at New York’s JFK Airport and behaved so outrageously and shockingly that it exceeded all reasonable bounds of decency, according to the complaint. Kathryn Williams, a United Airlines customer services director, has filed a lawsuit against the Irish actor in the Supreme Court in Queens, New York. The airline worker’s lawyer, Jeff Berson, said Rhys Meyers’ representatives have already been in touch to discuss the suit. Williams claims to have suffered permanent physical damage and severe emotional distress following the incident last May. She also claims that the alleged attack has left her unable to attend to her usual work duties. The lawsuit alleges, that on May 7, 2010, at approximately 6.00am the defendant committed tortuous acts consisting of verbally and physically abusing plaintiff causing her to sustain physical injuries and severe emotional distress. It continues: Defendant Jonathan Rhys Meyers willfully, maliciously, wantonly and without any just cause or provocation assaulted and battered plaintiff Kathryn Williams. The 33 year old Dublin born actor, who is now barred for life from flying with United Airlines, has a troubled history with alcohol and airports. In 2007, he was arrested at Dublin Airport for being drunk and in breach of the peace, although no charges were brought. And two years later, at Charles De Gaulle Airport, in Paris, he was again arrested after allegedly attacking airport bar staff. The Match Point star has previously admitted: When I do drink I’m like Bambi. I am all over the place, hopeless like a 16 year old.

Rihanna is at the center of a a $4.7 million lawsuit in which a bunch of Brazilian concert promoters claim that they were duped by frauds masquerading as the R&B singer’s reps. According to legal documents filed in New York, a Brazilian promotion company called Unique Sports and Marketing signed a $1.7 million agreement to book Rihanna for three Brazil concerts in November. However, the company claims that the people who say they signed the contract on behalf of the Barbadian babe, a company called Vegas Style Entertainment, never represented Rihanna. Unique claims that Vegas Style hatched a fraudulent scheme but had already forked over $825,000 by the time they figured it out.

An attorney for the news producer accused of trying to blackmail David Letterman for $2million sought to have his case dismissed in a Manhattan court.

The former CBS executive, Robert Joel “Joe” Halderman, allegedly attempted to extort the sum from the late night talk show host by threatening to expose an affair he had in the past with a former staffer, who was Halderman’s girlfriend.

His attorney, Gerald Shargel, told reporters outside the courtroom: “There was no extortion. This was a commercial transaction, nothing more. [Letterman's] celebrity is why we are here today.”

Letterman’s admission of the affair and exposure of the scam on live television on October 1 shocked the entertainment world. His attorney, Daniel Horowitz, rejected the notion of a “transaction”, and used the term “classic blackmail”. He said: “Dave Letterman is not on trial. He is the victim in this case.”

Horowitz also said Letterman would be prepared to testify at a trial. The next hearing in the matter was set for January 19. Halderman, who has pleaded not guilty, has walked free on $200,000 bail.

Law firm Pryor Cashman LLP is out to sue a couple of musicians. Both Cam’ron and Sisqo are being sued by the New York law firm, both for allegedly not paying their legal bills for some trademark work that the firm did over the last couple of years. According to the lawsuits filed in New York this Monday, Cam’ron allegedly owes $43,709.43 and Sisqo owes $19,965.73. The law firm wants their money plus interest and attorneys fees. The question is, if both musicians they’re suing have any money to pay them with. When was the last time you heard of these guys anyway?

Thugs and goons may be scared of Robert de Niro’s screen persona but definitely not the case for his child’s nanny. Robert de Niro has an 11-year old son by his wife Grace Hightower. Robert de Niro’s nanny sued him for over $40,000 worth of unpaid overtime. Alexis Barry was fired by Robert de Niro after she threatened to quit her job as a nanny but he never paid her dues. Alexis Barry filed the case in Manhattan’s New York Supreme Court.

Alexis Barry said Robert de Niro never gave her the 10-day vacation she was promised. She said she has worked over 750 hours in overtime but without getting overtime payment from Robert de Niro. Alexis Barry said she started working for Robert de Niro’s household in August 2006 until she was fired 10 months later. Well, it seems Robert de Niro does not have the monopoly of filing suits. He and Al Pacino filed a case versus watchmaker Tutima for using without authority their Righteous Kill scenes without permission and for advertisement purposes.

Taco Bell is firing back at 50 Cent. In legal papers filed in Federal court, the food chain?s lawyers claim that the rapper?s tough-talking $4 million trademark infringement lawsuit from this past summer was nothing but a publicity stunt. What really spices up the papers was the fact that they tried to attack 50?s credibility saying his work ?falls in the subgenre of hip hop music known as ‘gangsta rap,’ a style associated with urban street gangs and characterized by violent, tough-talking braggadocio.? 50 sued Taco Bell over their promo where they offered to give $10,000 to charity is the rapper changed his name to 7, 89 or 99 Cent.

If a man as rich as Donald Trump can’t pay his bills on time then there must really be something wrong with the economy! Deutsche Bank Trust Co. has sued The Donald Trump for not paying his $640 million loan on time. Bank executives, who filed the suit in the Supreme Court of New York State last Friday, claimed that Trump violated the terms of his contract with the company involving the Trump International Hotel + Tower and that he owes them $40 million.

The legal battle came in the middle of the construction of the Hotel and Tower building. Steven Schlesinger, Trump’s lawyer, said he has not even seen the case documents yet.

However, suing and getting sued is perhaps part and parcel of Trump’s life considering that he also gets to sue just about anyone including those who make use of his name without permission. Trump recently filed a $5 million lawsuit against the Morrison Cohen Law firm for allegedly naming him in their website as one of their clients.

Trump said the law firm used his name in their advertisements and his name was all over the site making it appear that he was in love with them. On the contrary, he said, he does not even like them. It would have been different if his name was used by somebody he was happy with. Lawyer David Scharf of Morrison Cohen however claimed it is Trump’s way of getting away without paying them for a multimillion lawsuit they had won for him.

The Firm said Trump owes them $600,000 for that case and no sir, they are not budging!

Justin Timberlake has been slapped with a lawsuit that claims that the former Nsync-er doesn’t treat employees at his Manhattan eatery fairly!
Tsk, tsk!
A busboy is suing Timberlake, saying his New York City barbecue restaurant didn?t pay him the legal wage!
All those millions and you?re being selfish?
In the Federal suit, Felipe Ramales claims that he has worked for Timberlake’s Southern Comfort restaurant for about a year.
The suit also says he and several other staffers didn’t get their proper share of a gratuity charge the restaurant automatically collected from parties with six or more diners. He also claims that he has worked for more than 40 hours per week without getting any overtime pay.
A manager at the restaurant says the tip allegations are false, and all staffers made well above the legal minimum wage.

In your faceeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Fifty Cent and baby his momma Shaniqua Tompkins faced off in court, for the millionth time on Monday.

And, it was a victorious day for Fiddycent!

A New York county judge awarded the rapper visitation rights with his son, Marquise, every other weekend.

Of course, it?s not surprise that his baby momma was not happy with the ruling. She told reporters outside of the courtroom, “My son doesn’t want every other weekend.”

Yikes! Really? How come? What did he do? DID SHE BRAINWASH HIM?

How does the rapper feel? Well, outside the courtroom Fiddy said, “Yeah, I’m happy. I get a chance to see him.”

But then he went on to say, “(after this) I’m going to hang out with some [women], make some movies, make some music and continue to kick it.”

Huh? Do you really want to see your son or not?

A guy is suing Death Row Records and he?s going after them for more money than what people thought it was worth. The label was bought at an auction last month for $24 million. Ron Goldberg claims in a lawsuit that he got Susan Berg and Reggie Bush to buy Death Row but that he?s now on the outside looking in. He wants $25 million from Berg, Bush and the former president of his company, Global Music Group. A lawyer for Global Music Group says ?Mr. Goldberg is not a principal of Global Music Group Inc., a New York corporation, nor does he have any ownership in that company or in its assets, including the Death Row assets subject to the company’s court-approved bid.?

Trouble really loves DMX. The rapper being in trouble is as much a way of life as the sun rising in the morning. It is being said that the rapper is about to lose a New York City townhouse because he wouldn?t shill for a line of dog clothes. After the rapper failed to fork over the $281,000 a judge says he owes a dog clothing company for refusing to take part in a promotional campaign in 2004, DMX is being forced to auction off his Fifth Avenue townhouse to come up with the cash. He was just arrested this past week for driving on a suspended license in Miami. It was his third arrest since May. Trouble really loves him.

A whole five years after he was originally arrested with child pornography charges, R Kelly was due to appear in court this week. However he failed to attend, blaming the poor weather and the fact his driver was tired. Oh purlease.Sounds like an excuse to me. But I know if we had even tried to use this one as a ploy to get out of school we would have been laughed at; and gratefully the courts seem to think the same way. The judge from the court has agreed with prosecutors and has issued an arrest warrant against Kelly.
Who a naughty boy then? I cannot speculate as to whether he is guilty or innocent on the charges but I can say this. If you are innocent you get your butt to court and prove it. You don?t mess around with feeble excuses.
Just my opinion.
