Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner said he wasn’t surprised about January Jones’ pregnancy and said she ‘wanted this very badly’. Weiner was speaking at the Critics’ Choice Television Awards about Jones, who plays the role of Betty Draper in the hit US show. Speaking about her pregnancy, he said to E! Online: "She has wanted this very badly. "She’s got a big heart and she’s been talking about having children since I met her, which is not always common with actresses. I think she’s going to be amazing." Asked how her pregnancy will be dealt with on the show, he said: "I have to do something about it, but I’m not going to tell. It could be laundry baskets or it could be a body double. There are a million things you can do."

Actress Jennifer Connelly is now a mum-of-three. The Oscar-winning star and husband Paul Bettany welcomed a baby girl, Agnes Lark Bettany, at their home in New York on May 31. Agnes was born in the couple’s apartment in a birthing pool, a representative confirmed to US Weekly. The rep added: "Everyone is healthy and doing well. The family is very excited." The baby joins brothers Kai, 13, whose father is Jennifer’s ex David Dugan, and seven-year-old Stellan, Connelly’s son with British actor Bettany. It was first revealed that The Dilemma star was expecting another baby back in December. Jennifer and Paul, both 40, met on the set of A Beautiful Mind in 2001 and went on to marry three years later in Scotland in 2003.

True Blood star Sam Trammell is expecting twins with his longtime girlfriend Missy. The 40-year-old actor, who is best known for playing Sam Merlotte in the HBO show, has been with girlfriend Missy Yager for the last eight years and they have now announced she is expecting their twins. A rep told PEOPLE: “The couple is thrilled and excited.” The couple met while both working in New York doing theatre. Yager is best known for appearances on Mad Men and Boston Public while Trammell will be seen reprising his role when True Blood returns later this year.

Hollywood star Kate Hudson admitted she struggled to watch her new film A Little Bit of Heaven because of its emotional content. In the film the actress plays Marley Corbett, a woman who finds out she is dying of cancer and then finds her ideal man. But the 31-year-old revealed she found it hard to sit through the flick. Speaking on a pre-recorded interview on ITV’s Lorraine today, she said: “It’s a really bizarre thing to watch a movie you are in, for me it is strange to be critical when you’re in something. But it got me big time, I had a hard time watching it. “What I loved about this movie was how her cancer and her acceptance of her life and her death affects everybody else around her.” Kate, who was raised by her Hollywood star mother Goldie Hawn and stepfather Kurt Russell, also revealed that she is in awe of her mum. She added: “I was always performing, you know. I was dancing and I was singing and I can’t remember ever wanting to do anything else. “She [Goldie] is just out of control. The other day we were walking and I thought, ‘How is my mother thinner than me? You’re thinner than me and you look better than I do. How is that possible? What’s going on?’ “People always talk about their parents getting older but my mother is going to outlive all of us.” Hudson, who is pregnant with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy’s baby, added that her current pregnancy felt ‘opposite’ to when she had son Ryder, seven, with ex-husband Chris Robinson.

The 45-year-old funny man revealed on the Today show that he and wife Steffiana de la Cruz have another little one ‘on the way’ after Cruz was seen with a baby bump at the Chicago premiere of The Dilemma. The couple married in 2004 and they already have two children – Sienna Marie, five, and three-year-old Shea Joelle. James’s baby news comes soon after his co-star in the new comedy flick Vince Vaughn welcomed his first child, a baby girl called Locklyn Kyla, last month. Jennifer Connelly, who also stars in the flick, is expecting her third child later this year.

Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi is giving nothing away about the sex of her baby but said it will have an Indian name.

The 39-year-old is expecting a baby in the spring and recently spoke about the name of her baby at a dinner in New York to celebrate Indian women in the culinary arts.

She said: “I am going to name the child an Indian name – I’m Indian.”

Lakshmi said that she does have something in mind that is ‘not a fancy name, but a name that is close to my family. It will be after someone in my family’.

She added: “So don’t expect to see an Anglicised name – it will be a classically Indian Sanskrit name.”

Penelope Cruz ducked a US TV host’s question when asked if she was engaged to Javier Bardem.

The 35-year-old actress appeared as a guest on the Late Show with David Letterman when the presenter asked point-blank if the pair were going to walk down the aisle soon.

She said, laughing: “I don’t feel comfortable talking about my private life in public.”

Letterman pushed her further, prompting Cruz to say: “I’ve been here a few times with you, you know I’m tough. One thing I don’t do, I don’t like talking about my personal life.”

She continued: “It’s sacred to me. It’s my life. But I don’t give details about it because I am allergic to that.”

Letterman finally asked: “So you know, but you don’t want to tell me?”

Cruz responded, giggling: “I know, but I choose not to share some things!”

Rumours were rife that Cruz and Bardem, 40, were engaged after the Spanish star was spotted wearing a sapphire and diamond sparkler on her ring finger at the premiere of new movie Broken Embraces in October.

Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg is expecting his fourth child with wife Rhea Durham.

The 38-year-old revealed the news while at GQ’s The Gentleman’s Ball at New York’s Edison Ballroom.

He said to PEOPLE: “I’m having another girl. So I’ll have two girls and two boys.”

The Planet of the Apes actor has three children with wife Rhea, who he married in August this year.

They already have a six-year-old daughter Ella and sons Michael, three, and Brendan, 13 months.

However, he admitted he probably will stop at four as they now have two of each sex.

He said: “I’m the youngest of nine, and my dad has a few others. No, four is enough.

“We were all raised with a lot of love. But we didn’t get the kind of attention I think that we all needed. My parents had to provide to put food on the table.

“My mission in life is to raise my kids right. With all the success I’ve had in the world, if I fail at that, my life means nothing.”

But Wahlberg added that his wife will have the final decision on whether they will have any more children.

He said: “My wife is allowed to pick the magic number… as many as she wants to have. What I want to do is I want to raise my kids right I want to give them the world. But I also want them to appreciate it.”

Pregnant Gisele Bundchen appears ready to put the bright lights of Manhattan behind her to settle into family life in Boston.

The newlywed supermodel has put her swanky New York townhouse on the market for an astonishing $13.95 million.

The Brazilian beauty and her sportstar husband Tom Brady have been spending all their time in Boston as well as Los Angeles, where his son with actress Bridget Moynahan lives.

The supermodel married Brady, the New England Patriots quarterback, twice this year – once in February in Los Angeles, and a second time in April in Costa Rica.

Gisele, who had a famous on-off relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio, bought the four-storey house in swanky Greenwich Village in 2005 for $5.8 million.

But she has not had much luck with Manhattan real estate.

After moving in to her townhouse, she put her 1,700-square-foot triplex penthouse on the market for $10.9 million – and has still not sold it, despite drastically cutting the asking price to $4.5 million.

Supermodel Heidi Klum amazed a TV show audience as she took off her dress on stage – and joked about having a pregnancy ‘muffin top’.

The 35-year-old looked stunning as she marched onto the Ellen DeGeneres show wearing a revealing outfit.

But, after agreeing to donate the dress for a charity auction, she upped the ante even further.

Klum took down both straps as she pretended to begin to undress on the spot while the host held a tiny piece of cloth in front of her.

She then walked off the stage holding up the dress with her hands and went behind a screen.

To wild cheering from the crowd, she theatrically took off the outfit over her head – with the help of an assistant – and smiled over the screen.

She then emerged wearing a pink bathrobe and walked back to continue her chat with Ellen.

Earlier the pregnant mum-of-three she showed off her baby bump and joked about a wider figure – and slower mind.

Klum said she has “much more muffin top” than her previous pregnancy.

She then added: “I’ve a little bit of pregnancy brain freeze. I don’t know what it is, I always forget things. It’s always, like, ‘the words… where are they?’”

She also revealed she does not know the baby’s sex but that said this would be her and husband Seal’s last child.

“We weren’t planning (to have a baby) but we also weren’t not planning either. We were kind of leaving it open.

“We were always looking around the table and thinking ‘one more would be nice’.

“And we kind of took it one baby at a time and every time we thought ‘yeah, one more and that’s it…’ now this is the first time I felt like this is it.”

Her dress is being auctioned online on eBay in aid of the Humane Society, with bidding – due to last around two days – well into the four figures already.

Hollywood couple Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are expecting twin girls via a surrogate.

In a statement, their reps announced: “Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate.

“The entire family is overjoyed.”

A friend of the couple, who married in 1997, told Entertainment Weekly that Parker and Broderick have been trying for years to add to their family ever since the birth of their son, James Wilkie, now six.

But, the friend revealed, the road had not been an easy one for Sex and the City actress Parker, 44 and Broderick, 47.

The friend added: “They had a lot of unsuccessful tries. They came to the conclusion that this was going to be the best alternative for expanding their family.”

he couple turned to a surrogate – whose name and place of residence have not been disclosed – last year.

The friend said: “They’re over the moon and excited as any prospective parents would be.

“Their life is about to get a lot busier.”

Parker is filming Did You Hear About the Morgans? a romantic comedy costarring Hugh Grant and plans to star and produce in a sequel to her 2008 hit Sex and the City.

Broderick’s latest film, the drama Wonderful World, premiered at the TriBeCa Film Festival on April 27 and he’s currently starring on Broadway in The Philanthropist.
