Jennifer Aniston has bought a luxury New York penthouse in her dog’s name, according to reports. The Just Go With It star reportedly inked a deal to purchase three separate units in a building in Manhattan’s trendy West Village neighbourhood last month. Now it has emerged that the 42-year-old actress bought the property for a reported $4.95m using the name of her beloved corgi-terrier mix, Norman. Property records reveal the apartments were formally purchased by Norman’s Nest Trust. Aniston’s business manager, Bruce Lagnese, is also a signee on the mortgage documents. The 1200sq ft penthouse, which previously belonged to celebrity hairdresser Sally Hershberger, is on the 18th floor of the building and boasts views of the Empire State Building. It also has an 800sq ft terrace that overlooks New York Harbour, but has just one bedroom and one bathroom. As well as the penthouse, the former Friends star snapped up two other small units on the 17th floor of the building. It is thought that she will combine all three units to make one sprawling duplex apartment. A representative for Aniston was unavailable for comment.

Stone, who has shot Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps with Michael Douglas and Carey Mulligan as a sequel to the 1987 film, said his dad worked in a brokerage firm. He said: “My dad wanted me to go to Wall Street but I wasn’t any good at mathematics. I tried hard to understand Enron. I read three books. I couldn’t understand a f***ing thing.”

He added: “There are so few good business movies, and Wall Street is an especially hard subject. To tell a story of financial manipulation on Wall Street is one of the hardest things you can do.”

Stone, who has created a revisionist JFK movie and a version of the September 11 attacks for the big screen, said it was politics, not money, that drew him to the Wall Street story, which coincidentally timed with the stock market crash of 1987.

His father, Louis Stone, died in 1985, and Wall Street was dedicated to him. Stone recalled: “We used to go to movies together. On the way out he’d always say, ‘How come no one can make a good business movie? They always make the businessmen idiots.’ He’d say: ‘Kiddo, you and I could have done it better’.”

Asked why he returned to his old stomping ground for the sequel, Stone said: “Because it’s important. It’s the collapse of capitalism and the collapse of our society. It is. Our way of life is going to change.”

Donald Trump’s $2 billion golf course plans are facing disruption from an elderly pensioner who has launched a legal bid.

Pensioner Molly Forbes, 85, is reportedly worried that the US real estate star will force her out of her home, which is called Paradise, in his attempt to gain more land.

Forbes claims that Aberdeenshire Council have broken the law by approving his planning permission bid and has since filed a case at the Court of Session.

She said: “Why should this man be allowed to force me out? I want to see out the rest of my days here. I didn’t call it Paradise for nothing. There’s nowhere like it.”

She added: “This is not a battle I would ever have sought – but I’m not going to give up.”

The council has said that it did grant permission for the project, but it had made clear that the developer was expected to negotiate directly with landowners about buying their properties.

Actress Sienna Miller is reportedly set to move to New York.

The 27-year-old wants to concentrate on building a fashion business in the US, it is claimed.

A source said: “She is looking to buy a three-bed place.”

Miller was born in the Big Apple and said she has always felt attached to the city.

She said: “I think you always have an affinity for the place you’re born…To be on Broadway was an absolute dream, since I was little. I always wanted to do theatre.”

Comic Joan Rivers claimed she was set to rent her luxury New York apartment to Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi for an upcoming visit to the city.

The comedienne says she was approached by aides about the stay – and was offered more than $200,000-a-week for the $25 million pad.

She said: “The Libyan ambassador called my [broker] and offered over $200,000 a week so he could use it for entertaining. I thought it was great. I said I would give half the rent to Lockerbie.”

Rivers, 76, said she would have given the other half “to have an exterminator come and clean the apartment when he was done”.

She added: “He would have roasted cows in my living room. But my houseman was not happy. He doesn’t know how to cook llama.”

Trump’s eldest daughter Ivanka, 27, is engaged to New York Observer owner Jared Kushner, 28, and it was previously reported that Kushner asked the billionaire for his permission before proposing.

Asked what he thinks about his future son-in-law, Trump said: “He’s a great guy, and smart!”

Trump’s wife Melania echoed his sentiments: “He’s handsome, smart, sweet, everything! I hope they have a lot of children.”

Michael Jackson didn’t “know the value of money”, his personal financial adviser has revealed.

Financier Dr Tohme Tohme broke his silence about his role in the Jackson camp, telling US TV that Jacko had no interest in his own business affairs.

And he said he believes that Jackson’s assets are greater than the star’s well-publicised debts.

“In the early days, when I met with Michael, I was taking care of everything, I was taking care of his personal affairs, his business, his day-to-day life,” Lebanon-born Tohme told NBC’s Today Show.

He added, “You know he owes money, we all owe money, but I think his assets overweigh the debts.”

Tohme also admitted he had sacked some of Jackson’s staff to trim costs.

“I had a green light from him. I saw that there was a lot of money being wasted and a lot of people taking advantage of the situation.

“Really Michael never cared about money or cared about assets. He just doesn’t know the value of money.”

Tohme also revealed that he had tried to tell Jackson that his debts were getting out of hand. “I told him on different occasions and he said, ‘It is your department, not mine,’” he said.

“I love Michael Jackson and I am going to miss him. The hours, days, and months I spent with Michael Jackson I will take to my grave.”

Michael Forbes, 57, owns 23 acres of land, and Trump has tried to force the man to sell him the land so he can create the "world’s greatest golf course".

Under Scottish law, any person can apply for planning permission on a property or land that does not belong to them.

Trump has already applied for planning permission for the golf course so Forbes is also planning to apply for planning permission to turn Trump’s historic mansion Menie House into a scrapyard.

Trump has previously offered Forbes £375,000 for the land, as well as a £50,000-a-year job at the development.

Michael said: "I am going to submit a planning application to Aberdeenshire Council to build the world’s greatest scrapyard at Menie House. I will pile up old lorries, tractors and cars right up to the front door."

He added: "I am sure I will get plenty of offers of scrap from all over the country. There is plenty of room for it. I can’t stop Trump making a planning application for my land but he needn’t bother, as I will never sell it to him."

A spokesman for Trump reportedly said they were feeling "optimistic" over their plans.

The billionaire has been forced to slash the fee he charges to address wannabe entrepreneurs across America – to “less than $1 million”.

Trump was previously guaranteed the seven-figure sum for lecturing at the Learning Annex’s “Wealth Expos”.

But the economic slowdown means he is not able to demand as much, according to the New York Post.

An insider revealed: “He’ll be making less than $1 million. Even Donald has cut back.”

The wealth-building seminars were such a hit in the past that he toured 15 cities across the US, doling out financial advice.

Now the latest event, a “Money Fest” slated to be held on April 25, has been scaled down and will be held at a New York hotel rather than the exhibition centre that has been used before.

However, Trump, 62, is not allowing himself to get depressed: “Recession creates incredible opportunities, and there are incredible opportunities right now.”
