Brad Pitt’s brood would like to see their dad take on the role of Spider-Man. The actor, who has six children with partner Angelina Jolie, said he would definitely go up in their estimations if he played the Marvel superhero. But he hopes his latest role in Megamind will keep them happy for now. Speaking at the New York premiere of the movie, where he was accompanied by sons Maddox, nine, and Pax, six, he said, “Spider-Man is big in our family. The kids think he’s the coolest. If there was one superhero they would want me to play, that would be the one. I’d score big with them. “With Megamind, hopefully they will think dad’s really cool and better than Spider-Man.” The 46-year-old added that now rather than choosing films based on the plot, or the director, he and Angie have to pick ones that will work for the children.

Actress Angelina Jolie has said her partner Brad Pitt was ‘very supportive’ when she decided to go back to work after having their twins.

Jolie, 35, gave birth to twins Knox and Vivienne in July 2008 and she went back to work for the first time when she signed up to appear in the spy movie Salt.

She said to UK newspaper The Sun: “Brad was very supportive. I had just had Vivienne and Knox and I was sitting in my nightgown in bed feeling very, very girly and very soft, and I sat with him on the bed and I said: ‘I think I found something that will help me get kind of fired up and physical again and it might be good.

“I hadn’t worked for over a year because I had been pregnant and so he was kind of, you know, anything that I ready to do, he was going to jump behind but he was happy for me.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have taken their kids off the beaten track for ice cream while in Venice.

The owner of La Gelateria Lo Squero said Jolie, 34, has visited the parlour several times and it is not usually a tourist trap.

Owner Simone Sambo said to PEOPLE: “This parlour is not really a touristy place. This is the third time Mrs Jolie has come to our store. The first time she was on her own with Maddox. It was during the Venice Film Festival three or four years ago. The following year, again during the festival period, Jolie returned but this time with Mr Pitt.”

The couple have been in Venice with their six children as Jolie prepares to start filming The Tourist.

Jennifer Aniston has shown her charitable side, donating $500,000 to help earthquake-ravaged Haiti.

The actress reportedly gave the money to Doctors Without Borders, Haitian health care provider Partners In Health and AmeriCares, all organisations participating in the relief effort in the Caribbean country.

Aniston also took part in Friday night’s celebrity telethon, Hope For Haiti Now which has so far raised $58million.

Her ex-husband Brad Pitt, along with wife Angelina Jolie, donated $1million soon after the quake struck.

Jennifer Aniston was said to tipsy-dial her ex husband, Brad Pitt.

But his partner, Angelina Jolie, picked up the phone, according to a tabloid report in the US.

Aniston got the “shock of her life”, the National Enquirer reports. Aniston is now believed to be back on with her twice-ex boyfriend, John Mayer. The reports are yet to be confirmed as neither Aniston nor Mayer has admitted their revived relationship.

Meanwhile, Aniston took to calling up Pitt. A source said: “When Jen drinks she tends to get sentimental. She was feeling a little loose from the alcohol, so she called Brad’s cell, never imagining anyone but him would pick up.”

Pitt is widely rumoured to be going through problems with Jolie. He was said to summon his ex, Aniston, to his New York hotel suite on a recent trip where he promoted green issues with US President Bill Clinton. Aniston’s representative, however, later denied the report.

“When Jen heard Angie’s voice, she freaked out. Jennifer was hoping for an intimate chat with Brad, and ended up tangling with Hurricane Angelina!” said the source.

A sizzling report that Brad Pitt sought the counsel of his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston in a secret New York hotel meeting has been denied.

A representative for Aniston has quashed the report that she was a go-to girl for her needy ex-husband mired in relationship problems with Angelina Jolie.

The alleged rendezvous, at Pitt’s Essex Hotel suite near Central Park, “never happened”, the rep told US Weekly. The magazine went on to report that Jolie and Pitt are going great guns, and even considering having a seventh child.

Pitt and Jolie have said they will not marry while everyone cannot marry, in a reference to the gay marriage movement.

Sydney’s Channel Nine Hollywood correspondent said that although the report was of the butler-told-the-nanny variety, it was definitely “solid”.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s eldest son Maddox gave away a watch he won at an arcade to a little girl who was watching nearby.

Eight-year-old Maddox is the oldest of Brad, 45, and Angelina’s six children and it is claimed Brad recently took Maddox to the Dave and Buster’s arcade in New York to play some games.

One visitor, who was there at the same time as Brad and Maddox, said to US OK! magazine: “My cousin’s six-year-old daughter was watching Brad’s son play the crane game and he won a little silver watch.

“She had no idea who Maddox or Brad Pitt are. But Maddox saw her watching and he came over and gave her the watch. She was just grinning like you wouldn’t believe. He just made her so happy!”

Inglourious Basterds star Quentin Tarantino said he would work with Brad Pitt again “in a heartbeat”.

The 46-year-old director said: “Brad deserves more respect and I think he is getting it. He has become arguably the biggest male movie star in the world. It seems like his time. It is the best time to work with him. I would work with Brad again in a heartbeat.”

Tarantino also said that there are a number of British actors that he would like to work with: “I am a huge fan of Simon Pegg, so I would definitely love to work with him. I also think Kate Winslet is one of the best actresses that ever lived, so I would be honoured to work with her.

“I am also a huge admirer of Anthony Hopkins. I would also love to work with Michael Caine. I can see them appearing in my movies, it just has to be right.”

Inglourious Basterds director Quentin Tarantino said Brad Pitt became his character off-screen while preparing for the movie.

Tarantino, 46, directed the new movie starring Pitt, 45, as Lieutenant Aldo, a Jewish-American soldier.

Tarantino said: “He [Brad] has such a strong character in Lieutenant Aldo. More than anybody else, he would stay in character throughout the day. Not in some weird kind of way. Once he’d get Aldo, he didn’t let him go. It wasn’t about having him and putting him down and picking him up once the camera started rolling. If I wanted to hear from Brad, I had to talk to him early in the day in his trailer.

“Once he showed up on set, he was Aldo. One of the wonderful things about that was that I really got to know my character. I could ask Aldo about a cup of coffee and he’d make a little joke. It was an Aldo joke.”

Inglourious Basterds star Brad Pitt has said it’s “all about surviving” in the mornings with a family as huge as his.

Pitt, 45, and partner Angelina Jolie, 34, have six young children ranging from one to seven years old.

The actor was asked about their giant bed for their growing family, and he said: “We have a three-metre wide bed, but even that isn’t big enough. They all come crawling in in the morning. It’s just about surviving! We all have sleep deprivation.”

Pitt was being interviewed by German magazine BILD, and he also spoke about a typical day in his crazy family.

He said: “I get going early, make breakfast, get the kids dressed, brush their teeth and take them to school. Angelina is working at the moment. We take turns.”

Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston has said she would like to “be a mother some day” but life never turns out the way you’d imagined.

Jennifer, 40, was married to actor Brad Pitt before they split in 2005 and she has since dated men such as Paul Sculfor, John Mayer and is rumoured to be dating Bradley Cooper.

Asked if she is planning to start a family one day, she said: “I’ve been asked this question so many times. I always answer the same way, of course I’d like to be a mother some day, and I love children.

“You know, I think sometimes people lose track and forget what life’s all about. You start your life with expectations and dreams, then life unfolds and it doesn’t always turn out the way you’d imagined.

“Life is what it is. I don’t think we have any idea what the future holds for us.”

Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt has spent nearly $1m on a painting.

The actor paid $956,000 for the Neo Rauch oil painting Etappe, at Art Basel, an international art show for modern and contemporary works in Basel, Switzerland.

The nine-foot wide 1998 painting shows a swirling view of a driver behind a red racecar, with workers nearby carrying hoses.

He initially walked away from the purchase, as New York dealer David Zwirner was overheard saying: “He’s on the fence.” But within minutes, Pitt returned with Los Angeles collectors Eli and Edythe Broad and bought the piece.

Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly sleeping in separate houses, according to reports.

Brad, 45, and Angelina, 34, are renting a $40,000-a-month mansion in Long Island, New York, for four months.

The couple are living in the mansion with their six young children, and it is claimed they have a team of 18 helpers.

An insider on the estate said: “They would often sleep as far away from each other as possible, not even in separate bedrooms but in separate houses.”

The insider added: “Brad wasn’t actually there for much of the time, which upset Angie and caused major ructions.”

A source added: “With all the kids and work commitments, they both have a lot on their plate. It’s a bit like a pressure cooker. There have been several explosions.”

The couple recently denied their four-year relationship is on the rocks.

Brad Pitt has become a hit with mums at a New York school as he drops his kids off each day.

The superstar family have relocated to New York while partner Angelina Jolie, 33, films her new movie Salt.

A source said: “Brad drives the kids to school, so the mums have started dressing up to drop their kids off.”

The source told US OK! magazine: “They usually wear sweatpants, but now they’re all decked out.”

The local also claims that Brad, 45, ends up staying at two-year-old daughter Shiloh’s pre-school because she cries whenever he leaves. The source said: “He sits in the corner of the classroom because Shiloh starts to cry whenever he goes.”

The source added: “Shiloh won’t leave Brad’s side and holds onto him when he tries to get up. He wears his sunglasses and hat the whole time. The mums go crazy and whisper about him, but he hasn’t made any play dates.”

Brad and Angelina are also parents to Maddox, eight, Pax, five, Zahara, four, and twins Knox and Vivienne, nine months.
