Sarah McLachlan recently had an interview with Canada�s MacLean�s. One of the things that the singer talked about was Twitter. I guess the interviewer asked if she has one or not. She said �I hate Twitter. It�s banal and turned into a society pager for people with too much time on their hands.� It�s not that bad. It�s the people who abuse the micro blog site that makes it bad. Are you hearing me John Mayer? How about you Courtney Love? I get how Twitter isn�t for everyone though. Just don�t knock it for everyone else. I still love Sarah though.

Uma Thurman film about NY blogger draws dismal 88 in brief UK run

Uma Thurman’s latest film Motherhood took in a paltry $132 at the UK box office on its debut weekend.

Digital Spy reports the movie about a mother and Greenwich Village blogger preparing for her daughter’s sixth birthday party pulled in just $15 on Sunday in a three-day screening at London’s Apollo Piccadilly Circus. The website claimed one person only attended on the Sunday.

A Guardian-Observer review of the movie on Sunday would not have helped. The paper wrote: “Mayor Rudy Giuliani turfed the begging winos out of New York City, only for them to be replaced [so one infers from the films Julie & Julia and Motherhood] by blogging whiners.”

The movie, due to now go to DVD, did better in the US but was deemed a box office flop with its $50,000 takings at 48 venues last October, reaching a total of $98,900 when it wrapped up its theatrical run in November.

New York Times blogger who poked fun at Michael C Hall apologises

The New York Times blogger who poked fun at Michael C Hall over his beanie has apologised.

The journalist, who was blogging on the Golden Globes, apparently had no knowledge of Hall’s cancer diagnosis, which explained the skull cap at the awards show.

The blogger for the Times’ fashion blog The Moment made a tweet that was deemed offensive.

The tweet fluttered into cyber space just as Hall was accepting his award for Best Actor in a television drama.

Half an hour later the journalist issued an apology on Twitter. He tweeted: “So sorry that Michael C Hall has had cancer. Thanks for clarifying why he is wearing a knitted skull cap.”

Hall said backstage that he was on the road to recovery. He made no reference to his illness while accepting his Golden Globe.

Reality star Kim Kardashian has revealed she has been working as a beauty editor for OK! Magazine.

Kim, 28, who appears in the E! reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians with her family, wrote on her blog that she took up the new job for New York Fashion Week.

She said: “I just worked my first job as a beauty editor for OK Magazine! I went behind the scenes at the Jill Stuart fashion show to see what the make up artists and hair stylists were going to be doing for this years’ NY Fashion Week.

“I’m having the greatest time here in NYC meeting some amazing makeup artists, hair stylists, designers and celebrities!”

The singer recently voted for himself to stay with together with Jennifer Aniston after discovering a poll on the matter on the internet. John Mayer explained his action on his blog page: “I just voted on People’s ‘Is John Mayer a Keeper?’ poll – I clicked ‘Love Him.’ Be honest, you’d vote for yourself if you came across it, as well. Wouldn’t you?” Well know, that depends� if he does trust himself to be the A-grade material, that it is perfectly valid. But then again, who doesn�t consider themselves like that. Still, truth be told, the chivalrous thing would�ve been not to vote, so in that respect, John Mayer might have been wrong. But still, it is commendable that he came forward and admitted it� even though it may cost him a lot.

The ?Event to Prevent? is a benefit to raise awareness of the consequences of teen pregnancy. Calling Jamie Lynn Spears! Anyway, Taylor?s self-title debut album has been certified triple platinum for retail shipments and digital sales of 3 million units. The 18-year old country singer and songwriter is also set to go on tour with Rascal Flatts on their ?Still Feels Good? tour which is ranked as the top country concert draw during the first quarter of the year.

John Mayer is proving to be the ladies? man. The 30-year old musician has previously been romantically linked to the likes of Jessica Simpson and Cameron Diaz. But earlier this past week, the blogging douche bag was seen with lead Pussycat Dolls singer, the 29-year old Nicole Scherzinger at the Los Angeles nightclub Villa. I?m not quite sure if that?s a step up or a step down when it comes to his lady loves but whatever floats his over-inflated head ? I mean boat. In other John Mayer news, his 2008 summer tour is set to begin on July 2 at Milwaukee?s Summerfest.

So, John Mayer won’t let you just talk about him. I mean, he doesn’t want anyone to think anything about him that’s not true.

Previously, the New York Post reported that John was “so self-obsessed, he Googles himself every morning, and has been known to respond to online rumors just to clear the air.”

His response? “That is, quite simply, untrue. – John”

Umm, didn’t he just respond to an online rumor? Hmm….

Poignant Spice Blog

With the Spice Girls reunion tour is winding down, Geri Halliwell posted a poignant entry on the official Spice Girls blog which reminisces about their Madison Square Garden show and being back together with the ladies.

She says ?So, we have got six shows left to do and it?s rather like a countdown. I feel a mixture of sadness and joy. I know it?s time to come home yet I will miss everyone from the tour? If you?d asked me ten years ago if I would have been at Madison Square Garden with the Spice Girls, I would have said no. But look what has happened, and that is my lesson. Job done.?
