Justin Bieber didn’t get to talk to Rihanna

It seems that teenage singing sensation didn’t get the full privilege of being the celebrity that he is when he tried to get into a conversation with Rihanna at the Billboard Music Awards. This is what a source related about what went down between the two: ”Justin thinks Rihanna is the most beautiful woman and supremely talented. He is in awe of her. Justin is just a red-blooded teenager, he can’t help acting like a love-sick puppy dog when he’s around her. The pair were chatting as Justin’s girlfriend Selena looked on, scowling. Then Rihanna got dragged away by a couple of her friends. The pair resumed their chat later but when Justin went to talk to her at the show’s climax her security blocked his path, telling him to ‘leave it’.” Well, probably not the most objective re-telling of the story… and it would certainly behoove Rihanna to pay a little more attention to stars like Justin Bieber. After all, he might just rule the world one day.

Katy Perry�s new single �ET�, which features rapper Kanye West, has hit the number 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, having sold another 327,000 downloads and up 29 spots, in light of the music video�s premiere last week. That�s definitely not bad. Keep up the good work! I wonder if the pop singer is planning on releasing any more tracks from her album as singles. If she is, I hope she picks �Peacock� as the next single. It�s a great song and it�s one of my favorites from her album. I think it�s the only favorite song of mine on that album that hasn�t been released as a single yet.

Billboard to Honor Lea Michele

Lea Michele will receive the first ever Triple Threat Award at the Billboard Women in Music Event in New York City next month. The 24-year old �Glee� actress will be celebrated on December 2 at the event, which will also honor Fergie as Woman of the Year and Jazmine Sullivan with the Rising Star Award. Lea told Billboard �I�m so excited! At work we have a nickname for Matt Morrison � we call him �Triple Threat,� because he�s an incredible singer-dancer-actor. And now I get to borrow that phrase, which is really cool.� Congratulations to Lea! She�s definitely deserving of that honor.

Eva Mendes sexy billboard stirs up controversy

A hot new Calvin Klein New York billboard draped with an oiled Eva Mendes tugging on the underwear of a male hunk is causing controversy.

The billboard, showing Mendes skimpily clad, covers a block of the city in Soho.

However, while some residents admire the image, while others are up in arms, slamming it as ‘pornography’.

“Some of us don’t want to expose our kids to something like this – it’s borderline pornography,” said Carl Wilson, 55, an MTA worker from Queens.

But Carlos Gamez, 24, said: “I think it’s sexy as hell. It makes me want to go out and buy some drawers like that. This one was way sexier than any before.”

Earlier, a Calvin Klein television advertisement featuring Mendes, the 35-year-old star of Hitch, was banned after censors ruled it obscene.

Eminem has released his first album, �Relapse�, in almost five years but it seems that the rapper has yet to lose his golden touch. Maybe it�s because he hasn�t changed his sound at all as his latest collection sounds just like his old stuff. I can�t really get the appeal but whatever. The rapper�s new album has been extremely successful, having garnered the top spot on this week�s Billboard Album Chart in the US. That makes it his fifth straight #1 record. In its first week, �Relapse� sold 608,000 copies. That�s more than any other album this year. Congratulations to Eminem!

She was joined by Natasha Bedingfield and the Veronicas, for whom she?s opening for on tour. The 21-year old Kate was recently spotlighted by Entertainment Weekly as being the best of ?the new golden age of female singer-songwriters? while Billboard has hailed her as ?An Artist to Watch in ?08?. The experts are already saying that we?re going to fall in love with Kate this year and after hearing her songs, I?m not doubting them. Kate is definitely going to be big.
