John Lennon?s killer Mark David Chapman might have lived a pretty good life in jail but at the very least, he?s still in jail. The assassin has been denied parole last week for a fifth time since he became eligible in 2000. Reports say that he will remain in New York?s Attica Correctional Facility for at least two more years for murdering the former Beatle outside his NYC apartment in 1980. Parole board members say that Chapman has had a clean disciplinary record since 1994 but that his release is not in the best interest of the community. It looks like Yoko Ono?s wishes have been granted and Chapman will rot in jail.

In a very effective show of what can only be described as a ?tantrum?, former Beatle Ringo Starr stormed off a US TV show this week after refusing to cut short his live performance.

Ringo is said to have reacted angrily to being told he could not play current single “Liverpool 8″ in full on “Regis And Kelly Live”. However by all account he had been informed well in advance of how long he would play for ? so it?s juat a case of spitting the dummy we think.

A spokeswoman for the American programme said, “His appearance on the show had been booked since November with their commitment the song would be two minutes and 30 seconds, which is our standard song time for anyone. Those details were reiterated many times to Starr since then, verbally and in writing”

Ringo apparently left the TV studio without performing or appearing in a pre-arranged interview.

Temper temper?

It’s only been about a month since former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney was romantically to a New York City trucking company heiress. Now, rumor is he’s found a new lady, and she’s actually someone we might recognized.

In the past week, McCartney has been spotted and photographed holding hands with Rosanna Arquette, the actress famous for Desperately Seeking Susan and Pulp Fiction. According to the New York Post, the couple was even photographed. Rumors also state that the couple was hanging out together in England as Nancy Shevell, McCartney’s previously rumored girlfriend, suffered from an undisclosed illness in New York.

Shevell has not issued a statement about the rumors at this time. Her only comment has been, “I’m sorry, I don’t want to talk about it.” As for McCartney’s camp, they gave the standard refusal “to comment on Paul’s personal life or business affairs.”

Well, for an old guy, he sure can get around. And don’t you find it strange that Rosaanna looks a lot like Heather – his soon-to-be-ex wife? What’s up with that?
