Adele’s monster of a second album “21” is back at the number one spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart for a tenth non-consecutive week. In the runner up spot is the princess of pop herself, Lady Gaga with “Born This Way”. In the third spot is the soundtrack to the Broadway hit musical “The Book of Mormon” which sold 61,000 copies. That makes it the highest charting Broadway cast album, and first top ten, since the “Hair” soundtrack spent 13 weeks at number one in 1969. I’m happy that the musical is doing so well, even more so it’s music. Congratulations to everyone!

Adele Talks Success

Adele recently took to her blog to respond to the news that she has the number one album in the United States and I can�t tell you how utterly amazed I am at how humble and grateful she is for all that has happened. The singer wrote �The first time I ever came to America I was 15 and my dad took me on holiday to NY. I remember going into the then massive virgin store in times square where I thought how amazing it would be to one day have a record in a record shop abroad. Though I NEVER thought it likely in the UK, because it�s pretty unlikely full stop. The thought of my music travelling to any extent always seemed impossible! Almost 7 years later I�ve just been told I have a number 1 album in the US!!!… And I can�t put into specific words how I feel right now, but ive never felt this way before! Thank you so much!�

Adele Switches Venues

If there were any doubts left in your body about how captivating Adele is, the singer�s upcoming New York, Seattle and LA concerts, part of her North American tour, have sold out so quickly that she has been forced to move the performances to bigger venues or add additional dates in order to accommodate more fans. According to the Seattle announcement, �Adele has moved to The Paramount due to overwhelming demand. A limited amount of additional tickets will go up for sale on Saturday, February 26th at 10:00AM at www.tickets.com and at The Paramount box office.� All tickets purchased for the original venue will be honored. Adele has also moved her LA show to the Palladium and added another show for New York.

New BFF in town shows up at the Grammys

Power BFF Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift rendered an intimate acoustic jam for the Grammy audience last Sunday. Cyrus and Taylor came as each other’s date which may be a good decision to avoid any flak from the media again considering how they were criticized for not acting their age. Well, what can you expect from these young ‘uns who have become millionaires at such a young age?

Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift walked the red carpet together wit matching black outfits which would do their parents proud! One was wearing a Max Azria frock while the other a plunging Kaufman Franco neckline. Taylor Swift admitted during the pre-Grammy gala that attending the Grammys with her 19-year old friend has calmed her otherwise frenzied nerves. Luckily, the two pals do not only share friendship but also a singing talent so they both get to perform in the Grammy together. They performed “Fifteen”, which is a single off Taylor’s smash Fearless album. Taylor Swift is however starstruck with Adele and wants to meet her.

Adele?s chasing sidewalks in New York

Adele is planning to move to New York to get over her writer?s block. The Chasing Pavements singer is moving to the US to write her next album because she doesn?t have ‘a personal life’ in the UK.

She said: ?I?ve got nothing to write about. Really. I haven?t got a personal life. I?ve decided to move to New York to write my album. I have to change my environment and start again.?

Thankfully, the South London soul singer says that she?s not going to rush the writing process in order to deliver a worthy second album.

She added: “Until I have something normal that your sister, auntie, cousin or mum can relate to, I won?t be writing anything.”

Adele will say adieu to Britain

Soul singer Adele has stopped Chasing Pavements here to head for the streets of New York.

She put on two acoustic shows at Joe?s Pub in the Big Apple this week and announced at the end of the second: ?I?ll see you soon, I?m moving to New York.?

The former student of the famous Brit School in Croydon, Surrey, feels she belongs across the Pond.

She said: ?New York reminds me of home. I really love it here.?

I?ve been told that the Yanks adore her too ? there wasn?t an inch of room in Joe?s.

The Londoner played ten songs and finished, ironically, with Hometown Glory.
