In the aftermath of his controversial AMA performance, Adam Lambert is once again speaking out, this time via the American Idol alum�s Twitter, to ensure fans that he is staying focused on his music and rethinking his strategy. The openly gay singer wrote �AMA performance was a one time event. Goin in a new direction now. Focus back on the music. Don’t worry friends: I’m still gonna be me. Always. W/o appologies. Adam Lambert Got Carried Away

Adam Lambert visited CBS� Early Show last week in New York City where the American Idol album addressed his sexually charged American Music Awards performance yet again. The 27-year old openly gay singer said �I admit, I did get carried away. But I don�t see anything wrong with it. I do see how people got offended and that was not my intention. My intention was just to interpret the lyrics to my song and have a good time up there.� I have to give kudos to Adam for sticking with his point of view and not getting lost in the whole aspect of marketability and what�s supposedly moral and audience friendly.

Lady Gaga Writes for Adam Lambert

After buzz of Adam Lambert and Lady Gaga going into the studio together, the American Idol alum took to his Twitter to confirm that he is indeed recording a song written by the one and only Princess of Pop. The singer tweeted �Yes it’s true: I spent yesterday in the studio w the insanely talented and creative Lady GaGa recording a song that she wrote! I love her. Gaga wrote the song a while ago and she thought it would be a good fit for me. It’s a solo track. I feel so honored and lucky to be asked. GaGa just gets it, ya know?� Yes, we know. Her massive hits confirm that.

Adam Lambert on Top

Coming in second place on American Idol isn�t so bad � just ask Adam Lambert. The season 8 runner up�s first album isn�t due until November 24th but it�s already made its way to the number 2 spot on the Amazon.com sales list last week. The singer is second on the list only to iconic diva Barbara Streisand who tops the chart with her new jazz album. What�s even more astonishing about Adam�s album is that it made the jump to the top of the list on its own. His record label RCA hadn�t announced that the album could be pre-ordered but that obviously didn�t stop his fans from spreading the news. And here�s an update, once the weekend rolled around, Adam made it to the top!

Adam Lambert is Rude

Word out on the street is that Adam Lambert is a total diva. According to MSNBC, a source who had an interaction of sorts with the American Idol runner up on his recent publicity tour said �He is such a diva. Rude to everyone – from fans right down to the lighting folks.� Staff at the New York tour stop also said that even A-list celebrities that they have dealt with in the past have been �infinitely more polite� than Adam. An anonymous music producer also pitched in his two cents saying �No one sells that many records these days to be able to get away with that kind of behavior. To be a success you need literally everyone in your corner.�

Adam Lambert Lashes Out on Clay Aiken

Clay Aiken recently ranted on Adam Lambert and basically bashed the most recent American Idol runner up. Clay went on to call Adam �Contrived, awful, and slightly frightening! I wasn’t really a fan and found myself surprised whenever folks told me that they liked him.� In a new interview, Adam Lambert takes his chance to fire back at Clay, saying �I don’t know Clay. I’m glad he’s getting headlines now though, because he wasn’t before. If he wants to ride my coattails about it, good for him.� Huh. I honestly never thought of that. I think it�s pretty smart of Adam to notice that. It probably really is what Clay�s doing. But you know what would be smarter? If Adam Lambert finally decides to come out.

American Idol Voting Controversy

Some controversy has already surrounded recently crowned American Idol champ Kris Allen. According to The New York Times, the singer may have had some help winning courtesy of corporate sponsor AT&T. Sources say that AT&T provided free phones for text messaging at two finale parties supporting Kris Allen in Arkansas. The phone company even showed guests how to “power text,” which allows one to text 10 votes at the touch of a button and violates the show’s rules. No free services were offered to Adam Lambert supporters which has caused speculation that the competition was rigged. AT&T stated in their defense that �In Arkansas, we were invited to attend the local watch parties organized by the community. A few local employees brought a small number of demo phones with them and provided texting tutorials to those who were interested.�

Kris Allen Wins American Idol

He was called the dark horse of the competition and was clearly the underdog, but in the greatest upset in American Idol history since Chris Daughtry was eliminated, Kris Allen was named as season 8�s winner. When everyone from the judges to the producers to even Kris himself thought that Adam Lambert was going to win, being announced as the winner was a big shock. Heck, I was rooting for Kris to win but I was still shocked when he was announced as the winner. I was already thinking that there was a landslide vote for Adam.

Adam Lambert is featured on the cover of Entertainment Weekly as the singer was recently named the most exciting American Idol contestant in years! The magazine writes �With his mop of glam-rock cobalt-blue-on-dyed-black hair, his hearing, his sneering, and his unambiguously ambiguous sexuality, Adam would have probably been brushed off early on. And there was also a time, more recently, when Adam would have made it to Hollywood but been dismissed as �too Broadway� or �too musical theater.�� Adam is widely assumed to be gay but he has commented about the scrutiny saying �I know who I am. I�m an honest guy, and I�m just going to keep singing.�

Adam Lambert wears eyeliner and diamond stud earrings and has won a rare standing ovation from American Idol judge Simon Cowell. With just 3 weeks to go before the finale, the 27-year old is the number 1 pick to win the talent show and become, possibly, the first gay or bisexual singer to be named champion. Adam has neither confirmed nor denied his sexual preference or the speculations about being gay. When photos popped up of him kissing other men and dressed in dragged, he simply said �I have nothing to hide. I am who I am.� A professor at Syracuse University in New York has said �Some people are saying, wouldn’t it be amazing that in the same year that the first African-American president took office in the U.S., we also elected the first gay and/or bisexual ‘American Idol’. I don’t think that’s comparable. Rather than being surprised, I am thinking ‘Wow, have we really got this far without having one yet?’�
