Vanessa Minnillo: ‘Nick helped me pick my dress’
Vanessa Minnillo has revealed that her new husband Nick Lachey helped her choose what to wear for their big day. The 30-year-old Wipeout host admitted that she had been struggling to find a dress that she liked when Nick came to the rescue. She told People magazine, “I probably had half-a-dozen fittings and I was just so lost. “I finally decided to ask Nick and said, ‘What do you want to see me in when you marry me and I become Mrs. Lachey?’. “I thought I would get some generic guys’ answer but he sat up in bed and told me he loved me with my hair down… and wanted me in something traditional but with a modern flair.” And it didn’t take long for her to spot exactly what she was after during her next trip to Monique Lhuillier’s Los Angeles boutique. “I knew it [was the dress] because of the conversation I had with Nick. It just felt so right and I felt so beautiful in it.” The couple tied the knot in front of 35 friends and family on Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island last Friday.
