Kate Middleton’s parents ‘giving six-figure sum to wedding’
Kate Middleton’s parents are reportedly throwing a six-figure sum into the pot for their daughter’s wedding. Kate is set to marry Prince William on April 29, and parents Carole and Michael are said to have insisted on contributing to the $10 million occasion. A senior aide told Vanity Fair, “It is something they absolutely wanted to do, and William graciously accepted.” The source added that it is Michael that helps Kate to stay grounded. “Kate’s feet are still on the ground, largely because of Michael,” a friend of the family said. “He doesn’t get too swept up in the grandeur of her new life, and Kate loves him for that.” Carole and Michael worked for years in airline service before founding party supply company, Party Pieces, in 1987.
