Eat Pray Love star Javier Bardem has revealed that he was so excited to meet his idol Al Pacino that he took a photo of his own face. According to Bardem, Pacino had been impressed with his performance in 2000 movie Before Night Falls and contacted the director, Julian Schnabel, to see if he could meet him. The 41-year-old Spanish actor said that he felt overwhelmed at the idea of meeting the legendary actor for the first time and wanted to capture the moment to remind him of his excitement. He told UK newspaper The Times: “I remember waiting in the restaurant in Toronto for him to arrive. And Julian called to say that Al would be there in two minutes. “I ran into the toilets and took a picture of my face, just to grab that face forever. And I looked like a teenager going to meet the Jonas Brothers. Like, ‘Aaaahhhh!’ And panting.” He added: “Of course, he came in, was really nice and I couldn’t even pronunciate [sic] any words I’ve met him many times since. And it’s always the same.”
