Robert De Niro and his wife have just settled a lawsuit with their ex-nanny who claimed the couple shortchanged her by $40,000 in overtime and holiday pay. Alexis Barry worked for the Goodfellas star for nine months in 2006 to 2007. She filed her case in the Manhattan Supreme Court against De Niro and his wife Grace Hightower claiming that they didn’t pay her for over 750 hours of overtime and $496 in expenses, reports said. Barry listed her fees to care for the couple’s son, Elliot, then 8, as $31.25 per hour for normal hours and $46.88 for overtime. According to official court papers the nanny’s case was settled with a $30,000 payout from De Niro, 67, and Hightower.
