Actress Charlize Theron auctioned off herself in aid of her charity. One lucky bidder had the chance to win a date with the Oscar-winning star at last night’s Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project Benefit at The Darby Restaurant in New York City. When guests started to bid on a pair of court-side tickets to watch the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team, Theron offered to go to the game herself with the winner. According to British newspaper the Daily Mail, a source said that the bids got bigger and bigger, before ending up at around $20,000 for a date with the 35-year-old. Theron spent time during the night with Liv Tyler, who came along to support her friend. The Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project aims to create safer lives for children and communities at risk in South Africa. It especially focuses on those affected by or suffering from HIV and Aids.
