Actress Halle Berry is set to make her Broadway debut in new play The Mountaintop. The Hollywood star revealed yesterday to Entertainment Tonight that she now wants to establish herself as a thespian. Halle, 44, will star in the play alongside Samuel L. Jackson. Berry revealed the news at the premiere of her new flick Frankie and Alice, a movie about a young woman who has a multiple personality disorder. Speaking about the role, she said: “This was definitely a challenge, but as an actor it’s really one of those challenges that you just relish. “It was a lot of work, you know, instead of creating one character it was creating three, but it was something that I desperately wanted to do.” The Oscar winner added: “I’m just happy the movie is coming out. Two months ago I didn’t know if it would see the light of day, so the fact that I’m at the premiere of it tonight is just cherry on my top right now.” Frankie and Alice opens in the US in February.
