Actress Angela Lansbury is set to star alongside Jim Carrey in the new movie Mr Popper’s Penguins. The film is based on the children’s book that follows New York businessman Mr Popper, played by Carrey, who doesn’t know what to do when he inherits six penguins, according to Variety. Lansbury, who recently starred on Broadway in the play A Little Night Music, will play the role of Mrs Van Gundy in the movie. Her character is the owner of a local tavern that Carrey’s character is trying to buy. The movie also stars Carla Gugino, Ophelia Lovibond and Philip Baker Hall and is being directed by Mark Waters with John Davis as producer.
