Cameron Diaz’s baseball star boyfriend A-Rod owed $25million
Cameron Diaz’s baseball star boyfriend Alex Rodriguez is owed a staggering $25 MILLION by his former team.
Baseball’s Texas Rangers filed for bankruptcy, listing assets and debt of between $100 million and $500 million – with A-Rod the top unsecured creditor with $25 million owed in unpaid salary.
Team owner Thomas Hicks insisted Rodriguez – and all other creditors – will get paid.
Player Association Executive Director Michael Weiner also confirmed: “We have been assured that all contractual commitments to the players will be fully honoured.”
Rodriguez is now in the third year of a 10-year, $275 million contract with the New York Yankees that makes him the highest-paid player in Major League Baseball.
But he is now better known for his life off the field, having been linked to Madonna during her split from husband Guy Ritchie before dating Kate Hudson and now Cameron Diaz.
