Marc Jacobs and ‘husband’ split
Marc Jacobs has split from “husband” Lorenzo Martone – less than four months after they tied the knot.
The fashion designer wed Brazilian PR exec Martone in St. Barts, in the West Indies, on New Year’s Eve. But now sources say the couple has broken up.
A pal told the New York Post newspaper: “They’ve both been telling people that they broke up.”
Although Lorenzo has denied claims he has moved out of the New York apartment they share, he wasn’t with Jacobs at the wedding of his business partner Robert Duffy last week.
A spokesperson for Jacobs said: “We don’t comment on Marc’s personal life.”
Although the couple got married, they had yet to sign any official wedding documents, meaning the marriage wasn’t legal.
Lorenzo has said: “In the end, we just had an intimate ceremony at a friend’s house with people who were already on the island.
“Although the official wedding papers won’t be signed till later this year, so legally we’re not married yet.”
