Kate Winslet steps out in Manhattan with son

Oscar-winning actress Kate Winslet made a public appearance with her son in New York.
The sighting was one of the first since Winslet, 34, announced she was divorcing Sam Mendes, 44.
Winslet and Joe, 6, left their apartment to go to a movie with Winslet appearing vigilant and watchful over her young son.
The couple also has a daughter, Mia, 9, who is from Winslet’s first marriage to Jim Threapleton.

The actress was earlier reported desperate to leave the apartment the couple shared in the trendy Chelsea district of lower Manhattan, which is believed to have been put on the market at an asking price of $5.9million.
