A rock adaptation of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ is making its way to the Great White Way in the 2010-2011 season. The show, called ‘The Last Goodbye’, will be a musical rendition of the classic Bard play, featuring music from the late Jeff Buckley. Songs such as ‘Lover’, ‘You Should’ve Come Over’ and ‘Eternal Life’ will be woven together with a dialogue directly taken from Shakespeare’s most famous love story. There’s no word regarding the cast yet but the show is already receiving a lot of buzz after a concert version of the Broadway show sold out last year at Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater.
