Whoopi Goldberg to make one-night-only cameo in The Lion King

Actress Whoopi Goldberg is to make a one-night-only cameo in the Broadway show of The Lion King.
Goldberg, 54, revealed she will be making the appearance while on chat show The View.
The Sister Act star will be in Lion King on January 14 and they will be her first steps on the Broadway stage since she appeared in Xanadu in 2008.
Goldberg voiced one of the hyenas, Shenzi, in Disney’s original animated movie of The Lion King, which was released in 1994.
Clips of her performance in the hit Broadway show is due to be aired on The View just days after she appears.
