Googling George Clooney pulls a Mariah Carey on stage
George Clooney pulled a Mariah at the New York Film Critics Circle awards.
“I’m like Mariah Carey f–ked up right now!” he said.
Carey last week swooned before the audience at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, temporarily lost for words. When she did speak, she was tipsy, saying: “I’m like … Yeah.”
Clooney also issued an expletive when he spoke jokingly of Meryl Streep as tough competition.
He said director Wes Anderson’s response was: “F–k her!”
Clooney was awarded two Best Actor awards for Up In The Air and Fantastic Mr. Fox. He was accompanied to the glittering event by the lovely Elisabetta Canalis.
Christine Lahti, presenting Clooney with an award, asked him if he’d ever Googled himself. With ever sparkling wit, he replied: “I Google myself every afternoon.”
