New York Jets wear diabetes bracelet for Casey Johnson
Casey Johnson was honoured by the New York Jets organisation which wore juvenile diabetes bracelets to a weekend game.
The late Johnson&Johnson heiress’s father, Woody, owns the team. She had juvenile-onset diabetes which is insulin-dependent and was found dead last week at her Hollywood home at the age of 30. Autopsy results are pending and expected later this week.
Woody was said to be gutted about her death and has set up a memorial fund at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. He is also a chair of the foundation.
The bracelets read “CURE diabetes” and were worn by every member of the organisation apart from players.
Johnson’s body, meanwhile, was flown back to the east coast of the US, in preparation for a private family service that was yet to take place.
