Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie is reportedly considering opening a pub in New York.

The 41-year-old owns The Punchbowl pub in London and it is claimed it has become so popular he is thinking of expanding and opening a new boozer in the Big Apple.

A pal of the star’s said: “Guy spends a lot of time there with American actors when they’re in London for premieres or for shoots.

“They all reckon he could branch out and make the pub a global brand. Guy sees the potential.”

Stars that have previously drunk in the pub include Justin Timberlake, David Furnish and Sting and wife Trudie Styler.
