Sarah Jessica Parker surrogate testifies in break-in case
The surrogate mother of Sarah Jessica Parker’s twins says ultrasound images and other personal documents and photographs were removed from her east Ohio home about the time a police chief is accused of breaking in and taking them in an attempt to profit from their sale.
The 26-year-old second-time surrogate Michelle Ross corroborated the testimony of a celeb photographer from New York, who told an Ohio court he was contacted by the accused, police chief Barry Carpenter of Martins Ferry, about the ultrasound pictures.
Also accused is police chief Chad Dojack of neighbouring Bridgeport – both officers are suspended.
Ross was moved out of her home by her surrogacy agency to a series of cabins and was staying at a West Virginia hotel at the time of the house break-in. She lived at the hotel with her dog, cats and a python just prior to giving birth to twin girls for Parker in an emergency caesarian section.
Parker and her husband, Matthew Broderick, are not expected to testify in the continuing trial.
