Mariah Promotes New Movie

Mariah Carey and her hubby Nick Cannon make an appearance together at the Late Show with David Letterman this past Monday in New York City. The 39-year old singer was there to talk about her new film ‘Precious’. The movie actually took in a respectable $1.8 million in box office sales despite running in just 18 theaters throughout the United States. ‘Precious’ is based on a novel by Sapphire called ‘Push’. The film takes place in Harlem and shows the life of a disadvantaged teen that has struggled through life up to that point. Mariah also announced that she will be performing live at New York’s Madison Square Garden for a special New Year’s Eve performance.
