Dina Lohan was a victim of domestic violence, she says
Dina Lohan has revealed that she was a victim of domestic violence in the Lohan family’s public unravelling.
The mother of the beleaguered starlet Lindsay Lohan has had her family’s laundry aired around the world in a series of phone tapes released by her ex-husband Michael.
Dina said: “It’s time now that someone has to speak out for my children because I not only have Lindsay, but I have four children who have to go to school everyday, and my son’s in college, gets ridiculed on the lacrosse field, so you know, it’s just got to stop.”
Michael has told the world he believes Lindsay is on a path to self-destruction due to prescription drug use. Both Dina and Lindsay are reportedly considering legal action to stop him taking any further public liberties.
Dina said: “To me, it’s so hurtful to my children more than myself. I don’t care what he says about me. A child goes to a parent in a weak moment, and for them to eliminate that worldwide and do that to your own child is just inconceivable to me. Lindsay knows in her heart that I’m a victim of domestic violence.”
Dina also said the Los Angeles District Attorney is monitoring Michael’s movements. She has hired security to live with her.
