Carly Simon Lawsuit

Singer Carly Simon is not at all amused with Starbucks and their promotion of her 2008 album ‘This Kind of Love’. And if she’s not happy, a lawsuit is the only natural thing that follows. The album’s price was slashed after lack luster sales and Carly attests that by Starbucks not promoting the album to her standards before cutting the price, the company stigmatized her album as one that could not be sold at full price. Starbucks doesn’t seem too threatened with the suit though saying that after even heavier promotion in the New York and Boston areas, “sales continued to lag as the title received tepid response from music consumers.” Carly should just accept that her album was a bomb.
