Tyra Banks shows off a new svelte look in New York
Tyra Banks, 35, was spotted showing off a brand new figure in New York after dropping 30 pounds and four dress sizes.
The model, who famously defended her larger size 14 to 16 figure, said: “I might be doing a little TMI [too much information] – I always feel great when I don’t have clothes on. When I told the world to kiss my fat a**, I remained that size for two years. I maintained it with my ice cream and my salad with ranch and dressing and croutons and bacon bits.”
Banks was snapped on holiday looking larger than usual in a swimsuit in 2007.
Banks, creator of America’s Got Talent, claimed she was content with her body and immune to insults that flew her way.
Two years ago, when she was a target of criticism, she said: “I still feel hot but every day is different. It’s when I put on the jeans that used to fit a year ago and don’t fit now and give me the muffin top, that’s when I say, ‘Damn!’”
She added: ‘I get so much mail from young girls who say, “I look up to you, you’re not as skinny as everyone else, I think you’re beautiful,” So when they say that my body is ‘ugly’ and ‘disgusting’, what does that make those girls feel like?”
Banks is dating businessman John Utendahl.
