Suri Cruise is so comfortable being in the limelight that she almost crawled on stage during a performance of her mum’s Broadway show.

The cheeky three-year-old made her daring move last year while Katie Holmes starred in the Arthur Miller play All My Sons.

Thirty-year-old Holmes said her daughter was always with her backstage at the theatre.

“Suri would sit in my lap in the make-up chair. She’d hand the wig lady the bobby pins,” the actress said.

Holmes also admitted that she loves being a mother: “In my own life, my whole world really revolves around family. I do what I need to do, but it’s like: ‘How is everybody else doing?’”

Cyd Charisse – the old Hollywood star who was in Singing in the Rain – is someone Holmes admires.

She said: “I’ve seen Singing in the Rain probably 100 times.

“She’s so elegant and strong, but there’s an effortlessness to her performance that is just jaw-dropping.”
