David Letterman ‘took secret lover on family holidays’
Shamed talk show host David Letterman has been accused of having taken one of his secret lovers on holiday with him and his wife and child.
The Late Night star reportedly took assistant Stephanie Birkitt along on family vacations – insisting she was just a “friend”.
But 34-year-old Birkitt has since emerged to be the woman at the heart of Letterman’s blackmail scandal after her live-in lover found out she had been having an affair with her boss, and allegedly went after him.
The reported holidays will only add extra heartbreak to Letterman’s wife Regina Lasko, 48, who is thought to have believed her husband that his friendship with Birkitt was innocent.
And reports of the holidays emerge on the same day that friends of alleged blackmailer Robert Joe Halderman claim he believes Letterman bedded “six or seven” female staffers after seducing them with lavish perks.
