Joanna Garcia touches base with new beau
Joanna Garcia, 30, is said to be dating New York Yankees baseball star Nick Swisher, 28.
Garcia, a peppy star of Gossip Girl, recently broke off her engagement to Trace Ayala, Justin Timberlake’s business partner and best friend.
A source said: “They’re so happy together.” Garcia and Swisher were spotted cosying up in New York, “holding hands and kissing the whole time”.
After the cancellation of her series Privileged, Garcia recently said: “Ultimately, everything happens for a reason. I’ve been in this business long enough to believe that. Privileged, without a doubt, was one of the best work experiences of my life. Every crew member cried when we got cancelled.
“But I was then given the opportunity to be in New York and on Gossip Girl and spend the summer in a city that I’ve absolutely fallen in love with. So many things have happened in my life here that I’ll forever be grateful for. So I figure, what’s meant to be is meant to be.”
Swisher is nicknamed Swish. His father Steve played for the Chicago Cubs, St Louis Cardinals and San Diego Padres.
