Here’s actress Kate Hudson performing her own tribute to Michael Jackson when she was just eight-years-old.

Shot by dad Bill Hudson the never-seen-before footage shows Kate and her little sister Emily, then four, as they swirl and twirl their way through their own version of the King of Pop’s ‘Beat It.”

The hilarious footage shot 22 years ago on the 2nd June 1987 shows how Kate, now 30 – whose mum is actress Goldie Hawn – was born to be a star.

Dad Bill, 59, said: “The kids were always putting on their own shows and Michael Jackson was one of their favourite artists to perform to.

“Kate was always the one who made up the moves and poor Emily would be in trouble if she ever got them wrong.

“Kate would make them do it again and again until they got it just right.

“She was born to be on the stage and this footage shows even at eight she was showing signs of being the star she has become today.

“I’m sure Michael would have loved to watch this footage as it shows how much enjoyment people all over the world got from his music.

“Our family certainly loved dancing round to all of his songs.”

During the home movie Kate and her half sister Emily – whose mum is Laverne and Shirley sitcom star Cindy Williams – perform leg kicks and spin each other round as they dance to the famous song.

But there is no doubt who is the star of the show as Kate directs every step her younger sister makes.

Wearing a flowing peach gypsy style skirt and her long mousy brown hair tied in a bow there is no denying Kate’s famous smiling face as she shimmys her way through the routine.

Looking adorable alongside her is Emily, now 26, wearing a pink frilly dress.

Bill added: “Dancing, acting and singing was all Kate ever wanted to do.

“And I lost track of the hours we used to spend putting together these shows.

“I’m just glad I still have them as they give me so much enjoyment when I look back at them today.”
