Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo faces daily chase of women and cameras
Following his fan-crazed debut at a Spanish stadium, the world’s most expensive footballer Cristiano Ronaldo will face the daily challenge of women and cameras hounding him in Madrid.
Observers say that Spain’s notorious paparazzi and celebrity media are sure to go as wild as his fans.
“He is going to have the paparazzi at his door at all hours, and being single, in Madrid the press is going to claim three-or four-different women are his girlfriend everyday,” said Paulo Futre who was an Atletico Madrid’s former Portuguese international.
“Ronaldo is responsible for the most expensive transfer of all time, is involved in marketing campaigns and in Spain the gossip press is very influential.
“This is an explosive mixture,” he added.
Ronaldo was recently seen out at exclusive Los Angeles nightspots with Paris Hilton.
But he appeared to be kicking back solo after being swamped with a capacity crowd of 80,000 at his welcome to Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
“I’m going to watch TV at home, quiet, with my feet on the table,” he said.
However, the soccer heart-throb added: “I worked hard to get here, I am not going to go sleep under a banana tree now.”
