Katie Melua’s balcony blunder

The singer almost had a leap for freedom recently after falling asleep on a New York hotel balcony and nearly falling to a seventy foot drop. Katie Melua related the incident on her blog: “I had a near miss with death on a hotel balcony in New York after having had too little sleep, where you think you’re dreaming and you can fly.” As a wise comedian once said: “It’s not a near miss… it’s a near hit. A collision is a near miss!” Well, in their hearts, every true artist desires to fly… Katie Melua just came that much closer to it. Can you say narcolepsy?
