Pop mum Jennifer Lopez joins battle against baby whooping cough

Pop-star mum Jennifer Lopez has joined the battle to beat baby whopping cough.
The star, who has 14-month-old twins, taped a public service announcement to highlight the danger of the condition.
Lopez told Good Morning America’s Diane Sawyer that she has been vaccinated against whooping cough and urged other adults to do the same.
“Most often, babies catch it from their parents or people around them, so it is very easy for it to go undetected,” said Lopez. We will survive it fine, but if a baby gets it, then it can be fatal.
“There is now a vaccine for adults, which is a really easy, simple thing you can do to keep your baby safe. I got it and I recommend that everyone gets it.
“Whooping cough has actually been on the rise in the past few years.”
Jennifer Lopez, 39, told Sawyer she loved life as a mum to twins Max and Emme.
“My babies are 14-months-old. For their birthday, we had a little party in the backyard, I did not think one-year-olds could enjoy their party as much as these two enjoyed theirs,” she said.
“They had a ball, they were all over the backyard. They are babbling now, they are both walking, running actually. Max is running, while Emme is a little bit more careful about not falling.
“I do sing to them, Marc [Antony, her husband] not really – he is the one that makes them laugh the most. I sing them a lot of little Spanish songs that I learned when I was young.”
