Madonna’s toyboy model lover Jesus Luz convinced himself he was the “male Gisele” after he began to date the singer, sources say.

The Brazilian stud has let his sudden fame go to his head. And he wanted to charge US$100,000 per appearance – until friends told him to be realistic, according to US reports.

A pal revealed: “He has a big, swollen head.

“Jesus was trying to charge US$100,000 per appearance in Brazil. Friends finally sat him down and told him to get real and to stop thinking he’s the male answer to Gisele, because he isn’t.”

Fellow Brazilian Gisele Bundchen is the world’s top-earning supermodel.

The 22-year-old’s elevation has also left him the victim of a backstage backlash as bitchy male models objected to his status.

He was reportedly given the cold shoulder by the other catwalk hunks at last week’s Jeffrey Fashion Cares show after he was handed the glory of opening the parade.

One insider said: “None of the other models would talk to Jesus or even look at him.

“They were gossiping like catty girls about how they couldn’t wait for his career to fizzle out. He’s taking jobs from other models who feel they’ve worked harder and longer than he has.

“Madonna has catapulted Jesus on to the world’s stage. Sure, he’s beautiful, but he wouldn’t be where he is without her. He had no career until Madonna arrived, and even if people are coming to see him because of her, he’s still going to take it.”

Madonna, 50, has been dating Jesus since shortly after her divorce from film director husband, Guy Ritchie.
