The Jolie-Pitt might be settling in New York City for a while. Angelina Jolie recently signed the lease on the Long Island mansion purportedly worth $60 million where the family is said to be staying while she is filming the thriller film “Salt”. However, she was seen apartment-hunting in The Big Apple last Tuesday where she checked out a building in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan. The 33-year actress, who is a nominee for Best Actress in this Sunday’s Oscar Awards, was reportedly nice to the onlookers. Sources said the building visited by Angelina Jolie had work permits and was probably being remodeled.

The 33-year old actress, who was spotted without Brad Pitt or her six kids, looked classy in a black ensemble which included a trench coat, sunglasses and boots. Angelina was inside the building for about 25 minutes even waved to the cameras when she spotted them. This apartment visit could mean the Jolie-Pitt household, which rented and owned several properties in three countries the past year, will be relocated in New York for a long while.
