Rihanna and Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini recently lit up the UNICEF Snowflake at New York City?s Grand Army Plaza. The 20-year old Barbadian beauty also happens to be the global representative of the 2008 Gucci Campaign to Benefit UNICEF. At 23 feet in diameter, over 28 feet in height and weighing in at 3,300 pounds, the UNICEF Snowflake is the largest outdoor chandelier of its kind. It is covered with 16,000 Baccarat crystal prisms and is a reminder of UNICEF?s commitment to whatever it takes to save a child. Ne-Yo performed at the ceremony before Rihanna and Frida flipped the switch to light the snowflake up.
