CBGB No More

Fallen rock stars who once took the stage at the famous underground music club CBGB are rolling in their graves. John Varvatos, a fashion designer in New York, has opened his latest boutique in the same space that was once CBGB. Artists such as The Ramones, Patti Smith and Blondie performed there. Varvatos decided to preserve as much of the establishment?s original look, such as posters and walls covered in graffiti and there are even plans to have an in-house DJ and concerts. This is blasphemy! If it wasn?t for a rent dispute in 2006, CBGB would still be up and running today.
