Sandler's Stuntmen Get Fired Up

Literally…

An accident on the Universal Studios set of Adam Sandler’s upcoming movie sent two stuntment to the hospital Monday with first and third degree burns.

One of the men had burns on his back, and the other was burned on his arms and legs. Both men were admitted to Grossman Burn Center in Sherman Oaks. Last release listed one in serious but stable condition and the other in stable condition.

Fire officials received no report of a fire at the scene of the accident and are currently investigating the occurrance.

Studio reps and hospital officials are not yet releasing the names of the men.

Columbia Tristar Motion Picture Group spokesperson Steve Elzer released this statement, “Our thoughts right now are with the stuntmen and their families and we hope that each recovers swiftly from their injuries.”

Sources at L.A.s KCAL-TV reported that a concerned Adam Sandler showed up at the hospital Monday evening to visit the men.

Sandler’s film You Don’t Mess with the Zohan may be hotter than we realized. The film is a collaboration between Sandlar, Judd Apatow, and Robert Smigel. The comedy is set to air in June 6 and features Sandlar as a secreat Israeli agent who fakes his own death for a chance to start a new life as a hairdresser in New York.

Sandler hopes the film won’t be a box office burnout.
