Several peace concerts in Tel Aviv and the West Bank town of Jericho have been called off after threats were made to Palestinians who were supporting the event, which was scheduled to be free of charge to those who would sign a petition for peace.

This is quite an unfortunate turn of events for those in the Middle East who were hoping to work towards the idea of peace in the Middle East. The New York-based organization called One Voice planned the shows to support their campaign to collect a million signatures from Israeli?s and Palestinians who were hoping to achieve a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict by October of 2008.

The peace concerts had to be cancelled because of security concerns, including threats to blow up the West Bank office of One Voice.
