Queensryche To Cover Rock & Broadway Songs On New Album

Queensryche are paying homage to rock’s anthems on a new covers album. The classic rockers have recorded new versions of Pink Floyd’s Welcome To The Machine, Peter Gabriel’s Red Rain and U2’s Bullet The Blue Sky, among other tracks on Take Cover. So is EVERY 80s Hair band going to do one of these ‘cover’ albums?? Poison’s sucked A55 and Tesla’s wasn’t that good. Didn’t bother with Def Leppard’s (which started this whole thing) since they covered a bunch of songs by crappy British one-hit-wonders. Well, OHW’s over here, but not in Britain where they liked that crap like T-Rex and Thin Lizzy and Mott the Hoople and Hanoi Rocks (Hanoi Rocks is one of Lep’s biggest influences and they are soooo bad. I listened to the Lep a lot back in the 80s– pyromania and hysteria days– and found this out in some metal edge rag or something and bought a Hanoi Rocks *cassette* and it was sooo freaking’ bad). I’m still pissed I’m out that ten bucks for that *tape*.
